Okay so...after tracking this thing like a rabid stalker for the past 6 weeks, the car is finally here!

This morning my dealer calls me up and tells me that the car is on the truck and should be here "this afternoon or tomorrow morning at the latest." Says they'll call when it comes in because I told him I needed to get the financing done today since I'll be busy the next few days during my banks work hours.

Afternoon comes and goes no call, so about an hour before my bank closes i head to the dealership, pull in the lot, and there, sitting in the back lot are the 3 camaros that were on the truck that day from Janesville. My black 1SS, mhubb31205s red jewel 2SS, and a red one all in a beautiful row. I stop at the dealer showroom and talk to the sales manager...he says he hasn't seen the load with the Camaro's yet, but they should be in "soon." I tell him..."you do realize there are 3 sitting out back right? One belongs to me, the other to mhubb."

His response: "oh crap, you guys were the ones we knew we had to watch for the truck or you'd know it was here before we did."

Anyhow...so I head around to the back lot to check out my new girl and find mhubb walking around his new RJT SS. Was cool to meet a fellow C5'er.

We chatted for awhile, snapped some photos, then headed in to deal with all the paperwork before the weather opened up again.

Unfortunately I don't yet have the thing in hand...I have to go back tomorrow at lunch to pick it up. Damn service techs and their inability to inspect a car in a timely manner!!

Maybe its for the better...weather today was crazy bad...tomorrow supposed to be nicer...so i'll get to drive it for the first time in the sun instead of a tornado.

Cheers to all 8/3'ers...congrats to those who have gotten their cars...and to those who are still waiting...no worries...it's worth the wait just to see the thing up close.

Just checked and It traveled across another State today.. That 2 states in 2 days!!

And best of all its only a shot 75 miles from me!! of course knowing my luck it will take a week to go those last 75 miles.

Well it showed up at 4:30 in the moring after its long journy for 8 days on the rail.But its a new kind of wait were is it!! its ony like 25 miles from Glendora Ca.Now this sucks.......waiting for the call!!

Well, the waits almost over. The car was loaded onto a truck around noon today. Once the truck pulls out, it's about 2 - 2 1/2 hour drive to the dealer. The dealer called and asked for the truck driver to call them once he got close so they could be ready to take pics of my car on the truck. Could be delivered tonight or tomorrow. Then a day for dealer prep and put the stripes on. It's looking real good for this weekend!!!!

I'm happy for all you guys that have your cars or are close to having them and I feel the pain of those that are still waiting. I hate waiting...........

After a long wait, it's finally here. The sales manager called me last night, will pick up my CGM 2SS/RS today. Thanks for all the people on this website for helping me to keep from going insane. Thanks especially, Viz, for all your help.
