You are welcome Bryan...it was the least I could do! Plus any excuse to let loose on the open road! And yes I do need a radar detector!!!! I've been pretty lucky for the past few years....but I know that when I do get caught it's not going to just be a slap on the hand.....so I will have to start putting some money aside!

IAS Escort Radar Detector Success

Speaking of Radar Detectors, the Escort that Bryan (at IAS) put in for me is awesome!

I was hit with laser twice . The first time just south of Santa Fe. The second was in Salt Lake City in a construction zone. I noticed on the second hit that the laser alarm went off, I pressed the mute and hit the brakes, but as I did, I was hit immediately with a Ka pulse . Either I was in range of Ka or the cops are getting smarter; when they see an error on their laser, the pulse the vehicle with normal Ka radar. Not sure, but it sounds logical to me.

In any case, the detector worked great.

I drove up to Montana and back averaging 85 to 95 MPH while getting 25 MPG. Made great time and the Camaro performed flawlessly. Hills, no problem. Passing, no problem. Speed, no problem.

This is the most awesomeness car ever!!!!

Very cool Curt, How's the suspension mods on the '69 coming?? I got hit with another laser Sun on the way home from the car show on I40 and about Louisiana. The detector IS paying for itself.

I WANT to be good, but my car just wants to drive FAST! It's just helpful to know where the cops are. I really to try to keep it on the track, but sometimes she has a mind of her own. Sooooo, I see that a lot of us are going to SEMA. So far I think it's:

IVAN
Andre
Curt
2010BADSS
RS-SS2
Racer-X
ZZTOM
Beth?

This could be REALLY FUN!! So I know there's the Camaro5 meet, but we could really all get together and have some fun.
