So Hammdo how did you eventually mount the bosch pump with the tune sticking straight out facing up or down ? I'm about to install mine when I get the time within the next day or two.

Facing up. It depends where you mount it.
This will show you a couple of other options http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...385577&page=48 The way I have the Varimax(s) now will work for the Bosch I believe, either location! So, pick the one that works for you, but the pump cannot be upside down... -Don

Hammdo have you experimented at all with adding a short intercooler inline below the factory one such as this ? :http://m.ebay.com/itm/Air-to-Water-I....c100408.m2460
And if not any opinion of if it would be worth it ? I currently am installing the Bosche pump but if I added the extra intercooler I'd probably upgrade to the zl1 or Varimax pump. |

If it fits, you could do that. I'd make sure it's needed. More flow would be my first choice (Varimax). As I stated, that would be on the same level as the ZL1 pump flow.
I'll probably add my factory HX inline just to see if it helps. It should ;o) More capacity and cooling will help... -Don

Hammdo where your t is coming from the intake tube barb i see where the drivers side goes to (back of d.s. valve cover) but where does the passemger side tube end up in your breather ? I just have the stock oil cap. Not sure if I should get a breather. Im still planning on hooking up my catch can as I'm pretty sure I still can with the pd blower. I considered installing the clean side seperator that came with my car (1LE) but idk if I should.

Valley Cover to Lower SC Manifold (Dirty Side):
![]() 'Clean' side(s): Drivers: ![]() Passangers: ![]() Hooked into the intake: ![]() ![]() If you don't have the Valley Cover to lower manifold like I do (the L99 does not have the outlet on the manifold), then the 'Drivers' side is considered the 'dirty' side and should go to the manifold, and the passenger's side goes to the intake. You would put the 'catch can' on the 'dirty side'... The 'clean side' goes to the air intake (after the MAF)... -Don

So hopefully my last question is being that my drivers side valley cover port in the back has always been capped off should I just run the barb right to the pass side port that you used or should I put in a T and run to both. Also think I should install the factory clean side seperator they gave me with the 1LE ?

I used the ZL1 piping that leveraged the Drivers and passengers side which I routed to the 'breather' for the 'clean side' entry. I used the 'breathers' in both the catch can and oil fill location for 'venting' the boost pressure. That's my setup.
I believe you'll need just one 'clean' outlet so use the passenger's side. If you have the 1LE separator, then I'd pipe that outlet to the intake 'barb' and cap off the others outlets -- I believe you need just 'one' clean and 'one' dirty. Sounds like you're close! Let me know if you need anything else... -Don

Just checked the clean side separator that came with my 1LE and it's way too big to fit with the engine cover in place so I'll have to figure out something else. I am worried about any oil blowing back into the intake. Even with the Catch can I had on which did catch a fair amount of oil I still found some oil in my original intake when I took it off.
