This is the best I can do. I have had the unit installed since November/December, so the modifications have already been done. Follow the instructions in the thread and the unit will fit. I also already had it hooked up, so I didn't get into the Plug A Slot A information, but trust me, the plugs you get from the unit only fit into their respective slots, so you wont confuse that.

Finally, if you do decide to hook up the GPS to the Fin Antenna versus the one provided, I do not show how to remove the glove box or Onstar box, but found video of it here in C5, again, that is also relatively simple.

The last time I changed a car radio out was probably 15 years ago, things and plugs have changed. If I can still do it now, even beginners can do it. Ask for help on the thread and I am sure your questions will be answered.

Thanks for the video bnorman!! If no one has done a from the start install video by the time I do mine in April I will post one. The gap on the top when installed is more than what I would like though. Maybe if you use smaller spacers the gap might shrink. Between all of us we will be able to get it all figured out and right. Like I said in earlier post Lim has info and pictures that I have sent to help him figure out the fitment issue out of the box and also the XM for some of us that want it. I subscribe to XM so I would like for it to work but we will see. Good luck with the installs for the ones who just ordered theirs and enjoy this kick ass looking radio!!

That is the main point for me, I hope they figure something out. I'd probably drop the cash today if they had integrated XM. I'd hit my data cap no doubt if I was tethering to my phone all the time. Cool news.

Yes my point exactly!! I do not have unlimited data anymore either. Lim said last night that they are working out the bugs and will have the 1gb DDR ram ready to purchase with radio in a month. He also said for the ones that already have the radio and want to upgrade from 512 to 1gb that you can order the 1gb ram and install it yourself. Will give you a lot more room to run apps and will make running those smoother. I will keep everyone updated as to the progress of the mods and updates he is making. Enjoy

That's right. Upgrading myself was my plan. I will go for at least 1Gb RAM (if more supported, I'll throw more in

) , 500Gb HDD and 8Gb or 16Gb SD card. I purchased the minimum config unit with HD screen and I'll max it out

Nice Video . A few questions if someone could answer them for me .
1- If I'm using a GM backup camera does it hook up -Plug n Play or would I need some kind of plug adapter ?

2- If I have a Android phone does it work as in hands free on this Unit as the OEM Unit ?

Bnorman......great video's!!!! That was great of you! But per your video your mentioned the Bluetooth not working with your cell phone?!?!?
I am looking at this and or the MyLink conversion for my 2010 SS2 and really like the looks of this radio BUT I need the HU to have cell functionality and it to be perfect. I am a outside sales guy. Has Lim mentioned a BT Cell fix to any of you????

Lim sent me a email today for info and video on 2.3.4 to 4.03 upgrade for the Camaro so here it is. http://www.hicesan.com/?p=3968

Also sent this info as well: For existing Spec of memory 512MB and storage 4GByte , hence after upgrade and due to limited memory space , some unwanted applications apk , please remove from the system applications setting in order to let the system run more smoothly.

Unless you need to change the better hardware storage of 8 Gb to 16 G byte and Memeroy up to 1G , we wil able to provide to you but hardware must be changed.
