Just ordered a Ruger LCR 9 as a house pistol for the wife. Something tells me there may be a surge in demand over supply starting around Wednesday.

What do you all think about the Sig MPX? I see that it is fairly popular on ARFCOM but haven't tried it personally.

I have only owned 1 other rifle (an AK) as I mostly stick to handguns but I am thinking about getting one for fun. Don't really want an AR right now and the handgun ammo appeals to me.

I was looking for something of a CCW. I was looking at the S&W but may have to wait. I would like to have a little of everything but right now I'll have to get ready for the holidays. I've got a big family and the grandkids take up a big chunk of $. I used to have a big collection back in the day but financial problems made me have to sell. Only 2 guns I miss that are hard to come by anymore. My Daewoo k1( or is it K2?) and my Colt Anaconda.

Yeah During the hot season I use cargo pants to conceal. During winter my rothco conceal jacket. I am in North florida too. If looking at CCW hard to beat the new mod 2 specs wise. Carries a ton of ammo for a sub compact .45. This is one of the sole reasons I switched from 1911 .45's as my go to anything handgun. Springfields have the same ergonomics of the 1911 frame and holds more capacity. Tempted to buy the 9mm mod 2 with threaded barrel that just came out for a good plinker handgun.

Did you add the threaded barrell to this or change the sites? Really nice looking gun. Have you tried it with a silencer yet? Curious as the threaded barrel versions come with higher sights to compensate for silencers.

That is one way to join the gun club! Glock 17 and a mossberg 500 good starting essentials. Father in law must have a Class 3 weapons license. Most likely if he gave you 8 guns anyways. haha

Ha Ha good eye!

I was playing around and mixed things up a bit. The picture I posted is the threaded barrel and frame from the threaded barrel model and the slide from the Springfield Optical Sight Pistol. All the parts are currently back where they belong. Wifee didn't like the red dot.

I have not put a can on it and probably won't but, am considering a compensator. The tall sights were very accurate but, I did switch them out with Trigicon HD's for the time being.

On all of our XD's, I always install a Power River Precision trigger (not as nice as a 1911 trigger but close as it gets with a stricker fired) and install some X-treme grips.

.

Go over to the SIG Forum....all sorts of info on the MPX .

http://sigforum.com/eve/forums?s=674...2Feve%2Fforums

I would suggest firing one before buying. As well as a 9mm AR.
I agree...the pistol caliber sub guns and rifles ARE a ton of fun.

I may have to mention this ↑↑↑ to my son. Thanks.

In other news, once NICS gets caught up after taking the day off yesterday, there will be a Ruger Mini-14 Ranch Rifle coming home with me. For now, I think I'm going to stay with the iron sights on this one.

The A17 got a Vortex Crossfire II scope about a month ago.

Yeah it looked off to me as I have been looking at which model I am going with next. I only own .45 and thought about getting the 9mm with suppressor sights and adding a universal silencer co. can. That way I can use it for 9mm-300 black out.

Can you or do you know the difference between power river precision trigger and springer precision for springfield? Since springer precision specializes in springfield's thought I would try that route the current springfields and the 9mm version.
