If you don't want to buy New door panels you can still use the key fob button ... I've been looking at door panels for months on Ebay - Craigslist-even Junkyards and there're cheap ! if anyone knows of a good place to get them let me know .

I may be able to get Mylink from a local salvage yard.

I was wondering if I got it could I send it to you/your source to have it programmed to my vin?

They may have MyLinks in bulk from (flooded status vehicles) I'm looking into it.

So for a 12 ZL1 what parts would I need, do I need a new Onstar box or just the nav unit, faceplate and some wiring?

I wouldn't trust electronics from a car that was totaled due to water damage.

That is my thought too. I'm still interested in how much they'd sell for though. All flooded cars in Canada are deemed irreparable so that vin can never be road worthy ever again so say one of these was flooded but never had water levels higher than the bottom of the seat. I'd take the risk buying the headunit from that if say they sold it to me for $100.

Doesn't hurt to to try.

Correct. The new onstage box would let you use the Onstar app

You know, this is really cool for those of us that have an older model... but darn if it isn't a heck of a job to get it in. wow.

Makes you wonder if you shouldn't just get the newer model car... of course, after you've done all the mods you want to yours... you trade it for the new model. ARGH!

I refuse to trade mine in! I have her like I want her! LOL

No unfortunately it won't. You won't be able to link that box to an on star account for a 2010. The database on their end simply won't allow units with software revisions that different to be swapped.
