I don't know why all the Mustang guys are upset about the Saleen/Pedders Mustang being a 4.6. It's win-win for the Ford. If it loses, well it was just a 4.6. If it wins, well the 5.0 would have been even faster.

that would be the only reasonable way to do it...because if the mustang just happens to win (we all know it wouldnt, because mustangs are much, much, much, much slower than any Camaro built. ever) then the whole "well if the Camaro had a good driver it wouldve won..." yadda yadda yadda garbage is out the window.

I am hearing alot of stories about the new 2011 5.0 stang being able to "crush" the SS...i hear that the 5.0 doesnt have the low end torque...mixed stories....someone clarify...

For the 1/4 mile both cars are even and it's a 100% pure drivers race. Most people don't want to hear that but this time around they are equals.

i'd say if there are 373's on the new stang that it will probably get the camaro.

If the stang has the optional 3.73's then it's a close race but the longer the distance the better the camaro will do. Of course if you throw 3.73's or 4.10's in the Camaro the Camaro's torque will give it the edge.

the quickest/fastest time or a 5.0 so far is with the 3.15 geared auto. the next closest is the 3.31 geared manual. the 3.73s arent optimal in stock form
