So, car update, I spoke at length with Rob Smith today... He is building my clutch.

The owner of RPS, the carbon clutch company... He seemed quite interested in Brandi and is a super nice guy.. Had some tech questions and had a boocoo ton of info...

I'm looking forward to this quad disc... And I have a fully rebuilt RPS triple carbon clutch for sale at a great price... It isn't in my hands yet but it will be soon...

The thing has held up to over 1400 rwhp in a 4600 lb car... It's tough...

On a side note, I was thinking..... kick those fatasses out of your truck, it would only weigh #9,000

Thanks for stopping by the asylum & visiting, safe journey.

My first thought: "The scales are broken". Nah, they're pretty durable.

So I thought, "DAYUM! RRR been living the good life, needs to lose some WEIGHT!"

Then I looked down... and couldn't see my shoes... that's when it hit me.

Mike.
It was a genuine pleasure meeting up with you. And the look on your face at the weight of the truck was priceless.

My new hood latches are in hand. Maybe one day I'll get around to installing this stuff.

Yes it was nice to catch up, and lunch is on me next time.

Checked out their youtube vid on the latches, nice! They may be a pain to install but the flush mount will be worth it.

Quick question. Is there any reason you're going manual over having a built 4l80?

One I like driving a manual, and two, a four speed auto would be great if I drag raced the car, but I do land speed racing, standing mile and further...

My chosen style and format of racing is events like the standing mile. I'll also run the loring land speed when we get everything sorted out... Which is a 1.5 miles run...

With the old motor, I shifted into 5th at about 195 mph... With the new motor I should be shifting into 5th at about 225 mph... I know I could run taller gears and accomplish the same thing, but it would kill the acceleration...

Ahhh understood. Solid build! I was going to take my V in Oct. to see what 1700whp 4dr does but car only have a parachute, has no roll cage or fire systems. Doubt I would be allowed to run.
