I love history. Was my favorite subject, besides forensics, in high school. I want to go to Ireland and Scotland next, and back to certain parts of France. Recently found out I have direct ancestor who was part of Pierre Laffites ship when he still pirated the Caribbean and helped Jefferson defend Louisiana against the Brits.

Oh wow!!!! That's awesome. I really want to go there sometime. Someone in my family traced it back to William the Conqueror, and several dukes and earls. But I haven't gotten to see that research but I've narrowed it down to an Anglo-Saxon heritage.

So I was working at a Ohio a Department of Transportation today, which coincidentally is right next to a state highway patrol building. A lady officer came over and said she knew me, and asked for my name. Once I told her who I was, she hugged me. and asked if I remembered her from a party a few years back. I said no sorry I don't. Then she looked sad, said oh never mind then, and walked away. WHAT JUST HAPPENED ?
