or you could just wait instead of being so negative. they didn't lie about the 11.68 so why are they automaitcally bs'ing about the 12.4.

So if they got a 12.04 stock with an auto, a manual should break into 11's with an extra ~40rwhp no problem

Having experience with MAF calibration, a correctly calibrated MAF transfer curve will not increase HP, it will simply allow the MAF frequency signal sent to the ECM to be more accurate, or basically give the engine processor a more accurate measurement of the air being consumed. The best way to do this is to create a new transfer curve based on flow bench data. This is typically overlooked when aftermarket CAI's are installed with factory tunes, and small changes can make large differences on the flow bench.

That was my point. The MAF correction was for the change in pipe size and puts the MAF scaling back to what it was factory. The increase was from mass flow increase.

Its pretty easy to create a new curve on a stock engine with known parts.......25 % shift in airflow.....

Lmfao, we saw what that time slip proved.

What in the world would redline have to, prove falsifying a 12.04?

Very good point orangeg8, and once again, great runs lol

Yes, adding a multiplier to the curve may work well if your airflow shift remains linear throughout the entire flow range.

Who sits IN the water box to do a burnout? Sitting on the line
water was probably dripping down on the dr's. I learned NOT to
do this when I was a kid.

Thank you Redline.
No, it won't. I can remember back when the 2007 GT500 first hit the streets and one of the mags at the time, Automobile, IIRC, ran a 13.1 @ 116 in the car and all you heard about from the GM fans was how Ford's 500HP Mustang was only good for low 13's, stock, despite multiple subsequent runs that put in well into the 12's. People tend to only verbalize whatever makes their car look good or the other person's car look bad.

If it happens, awesome, but I seriously doubt it will with a 100% stock ZL1. Physics is just not in its favor.

it will happen. the same way the c6 coupe broke into the 11's. the Z06 broke into the 10's.

nobody what get 12.04 out of c6's right out the gate either.

the internet has just turned into a place for people to be negative people to say "this will never happen" wich actually challenges people who do drive to shut them up.

in all of these cases though great drivers perfect day etc etc. never say never when it is that close though.

I for one saw a srt-10 truck make the same exact power on the dyno with equal length long tubes coming from manifolds.
