I have the ZL1 hubs that I picked up as part of the purchase of my diff. I however did not install them. I don't track the car. It was hard for me to justify replacing a good part for an unknown used part. I have them for backup.

This thread has helped a lot with my swap. One thing I wanted to mention was that in the original post it says a 32mm socket is required to remove the SS axle nut. However, on my 2014 SS it required the same 36mm socket as the ZL1 axle nut.

Very interesting tid bit. I wrote the original post. And mine is a 2010 SS. Maybe they updated the axle end and hub in the 2014 "refresh" for the Camaro. Thanks for sharing!

Look around on ebay and here. I think Dreksnot has one he'll sell for the right deal on shipping. I did a swap with a guy for my stock diff so my price isn't really relevant. The total kit brand new can be had for $3800ish from Jegs or Summit or a few more places.
The cheapest you'll piece one together with used parts will be in the $2000-$2500ish range I think. So the kit brand new really isn't that bad of a deal. Saves you a ton of time messing around trying to find parts (some of which were backordered when I tried to get them). |

Quick question for you guys. If I put the Trans flange (GM part# 22960154) on my m6 SS, I can just use a regular zl1 driveshaft (from DSS) correct?

Yes...if you have the ZL1 trans flange (which will fit perfectly on your M6 output shaft) and the ZL1 rear end...you can then use all the ZL1 driveshafts out there (OEM or aftermarket).
Just make sure you get the driveshaft for the manual and not the auto. They are different lengths. |

Thanks for the heavy-weight shipping info. Hopefully, will be using that on the 3.73 diff soon.
