Since proof was found of many Camaros shipping with VINs higher than my 2180, I took a trip to my dealer to get an update. We verified my event code is still at 4B00-Bayed. We called the Dealer Business Center (DBC) phone number provided by HuJass and were told that my Camaro is still undergoing quality checks and hasn't shipped. My car has probably been put in the same lot with trm0002's VIN 74. Last edited by heinzd01; 04-16-2009 at 06:08 PM. |

heinz,
The ETA column was coming from the Canadian railroad information, but most of the cars crossed over last night to the US railroads. I will try to update it for some of the VIN's but not all railroads report the ETA for destination. Let me see what I can do. Also about your comment. You may be right, some of the early cars might still be on hold. I continue to run all the VIN's through the query so if they ship I will update the spreadsheet. To the others asking me to track, I assure you I am trying to find your missing VIN's but they are not coming up yet. I will send the updated spreadsheet to UCF a couple times a day, so just keep checking that link. Reminder there are about 3 reasons your railcar is not showing up: 1: Car is not shipping by rail (too close to Oshawa) 2: Car has not shipped yet 3: Car shipped awhile ago and has already crossed over the the US railroad Thanks for everyone's patience!

Guys,
Just to add to KK's last post. Just because your event code is 4200, that doesn't mean the car has shipped out to you. It is marked 4200 when it ships to the stripe upfitter and it's marked 4200 when it ships to the rail yard. So you might be seeing that. |

Request for shipped VINs to test railcar tracking
Could you check out VIN 2G1FT1EW3A9103028. This car is supposed to be in transit to Houston and be delivered the Champion Chevy next week. Also, my VIN is 2G1FK1EJ6A9101832 is supposed to be at event code 3800, but you never know. The car had the VIN assigned on April 1st. Thanks, |

I have added a link to my spreadsheet (hosted by UCF) on the first post in this thread, so you all don’t have to keep scrolling to find it.
I updated the file this morning and it currently shows 212 VIN’s. One interesting note: VIN # 3634 has already shipped. Here is the updated spreadsheet as well. http://camaro.spasticsquirrel.com/Rail_Shipped_VINs.xls Thanks!

To those owners who have a car that is coming thru Valley Junction in IL; that's that big switching yard. It will take awhile for your car to make it out of there.
KK, Some of the railroad companies I don't recognize. Who's IHB? Last edited by HuJass; 04-17-2009 at 10:30 PM. |

The IHB (Indiana Harbor Belt) is another large switching railroad in the Chicago area. Basically they move cars around and through Chicago and surrounding areas.
