Buddy of mine just pulls fuses when he parks his SS1LE.

I might start doing the same.

You'll wear done the fuses eventually, and if theyre watching you do it they'll just get some fuses and come back the next day.

I'm just talking on the rare occasions I'm parking somewhere during a trip.. My cars are garaged and when I'm out driving, we do way more driving than parking. My cars aren't parked anywhere for long, until I get home. I have a work vehicle so none of our vehs. are for Daily use.

I see car thefts daily and do the reports for them. Hyundia's and KIA's are the most common vehicles we see stolen lately..they're so easy to steal.

I don't worry too much but criminals are getting WAY more savvy these days with modern tech stuff...

Literally one of the first things thieves do is pop the hood and yank the horn & OnStar fuses…

Mainly what we see is Theft from autos vs. stolen autos, so the main key is NOT To leave anything in your vehicle that the criminals can see and want.. Pay attention to surroundings when getting out..see if anyone is watching from a nearby veh.

If that's the case, then the Mobilizer ("Immobilizer"?) fuse box product that has been posted here -- and looks promising -- sets the fuel pump relay to "OFF" and then keeps it that way, even if these thieves were to yank *it* from the box?

Yes, if you pull that relay you are hooped, they would have to have a real relay to replace it

Same here; interested in real-time feedback.

Certainly the description seems positive and since, as Calgary sez, once you've set it then the pump is disabled even if the miscreants pull the relay, then it seems to be about as easy as it gets.

Weird part (as someone else has mentioned) is now you're carrying *another* fob, but I suppose that's a small price to pay...

We installed a kill switch for a client on Saturday. Customer took his car home and parked it and someone tried to steal it Saturday night. They thieves couldn't take the car even though they tried to start it with a reprogramed FOB(CEL triggers if car is attempted to start while in kill switch on mode).

Sucks that the customer now has to replace his side window that they cut out to open the door. But that's the only damage and they didn't get the car. Crazy that someone tried to steal his car less than 12 hours after he picked it up with the kill switch in place.

Talk about an investment paying for itself real quick

Not gonna lie, the fact that this topic even exists sucks in itself, though...
