I would of been pissed if I stuck with a 1ss and upgraded the stereo to these. This is my only real gripe with the car. That and the rattling automatic shifter.

I'm confused. What exactly is wrong with the Boston system? I must be really old school because I think the sytem is really great. It will drive me out of the cab when at full sound. Maybe everyone thinks that it's suppose thump the windows on every building you pass?? I have two GM cars and the Boston is by far the best of the two.

The Camaro is such a fine car and I love every aspect of the design. Good going GM

for a name lick boston "acoustics" you would think they would have a product with good acoustics but that is the main problem the sound even with messing with the eq is unbalanced and not clear im not expecting it to be loud or the bass to break car windows but the system is really muddy... but maybe thats me i have been mixing and working on music for 10yrs and its just poor quality product for a car thats fully loaded!!

I have heard the BA and i think it sounds really good.....I really cant tell much of a diff in the 1ss and the BA but it really depends on what you listen too, I listen to rock and very little rap but when i do listen to rap the bass is really clear and can be felt and the treb isnt all that bad either. I would say if you not happy then go aftermarket

Well, compared to my '01 WS6 TA (R.I.P.) Monsoon system (500W, 7-band GEQ), the BA system does lack adjustment and "something" (maybe that muddiness mentioned). Took me about 2 months to get the TA tuned just the way I wanted it--but it was dead-on. That said, other speakers and/or amp & sub might just clean up the BA...

I replaced the stocks with Alpines (SPS 609 and SPS 600c) and now have the BEST sounding car stereo system I have EVER had..
