Lots of information to sift through...sorry...just found this:

ZL1 offers two 20-inch wheel options, both tested and engineered to the highest standards.

The first is a 10-spoke design.

The second is a 5-spoke design

Standard 10-spoke wheel is black with a low-gloss clear coat, forged alum and has the CAMARO logo.

The 20-inch forged alum 5-spoke optional wheels have a polished face with a high-gloss clearcoat.

These wheels are 11 lbs lighter than the current 2SS model wheels.

If this is true and they're only going to build 500 for the 2012 model year, I'll officially start to panic.

I'm going to keep the faith in the meantime

The total 2012 ZL1 production numbers that I've heard discussed over the last several weeks is somewhere in the 3,000 range, or just less than one per dealership in the U.S. on average. I'd be very surprised if it were only 500.

Are both of these wheel options 11lbs lighter or is it just the 5 spoke ones?

So far, if I haven't missed anything, I think the only significant piece of information regarding options that is really new at this point is the the fact that an exposed carbon fiber insert can be ordered as an option.

If you order the stripe package, the extractor comes black then, or can it be ordered black without the stripes?...

Sorry - I might be looking into this too much

Sorry Anna, but now I'm a little confused with this post. First you mentioned that the insert would be painted black as standard and now it looks like with this post you list exposed carbon fiber under standard in toilet's post that you edited. I assume this is in reference to the hood insert as I'm unaware of any other carbon fiber parts on this car.

So is the exposed carbon fiber insert standard or an option?

So the black stripe over the carbon fiber hood insert (and the rear deck) is an option? I thought that it was the stripe delete package that was the option. I guess I had it backwards.

Anna, are you sure, you have it listed as an 'option' on the first page.
