It's quite simle. Buy the V8 for power, buy the V6 for the looks. Plus if you buy the V6, you can spend that extra money you'd save and mod it. I don't need to speed, then people won't be able to see how much cooler my car is over a base V8.

I always look on the back of the Camaros... I can never see if it says RS or SS(Impossible to tell the difference unless youre 10 feet away!), in my mind I am thinking if it's an RS then it's a poser or if it's an SS it's the real deal. The whole point of the Camaro is that it's supposed to be a musclecar, it just so happens that it looks good, which is why people buy the V6; the Camaro just doesn't make much sense in RS V6 form, it all comes together in the SS V8 though.

Notice that 90% of the V6 owners are constantly defending their decision and trying to sway more people their way so they can feel better about it.

Then you have 100% of the V8 owners sitting back and smiling

Get the V8 and keep being awesome

...jp V6 owners, it's a great car

Haha, I don't have to defend my choice. I paid less than $10K for mine when all is said and done! Sure, who wouldn't like a V8, but I also have two mortgages and one other car to take care of as a single guy. Besides, I didn't choose my baby, she chose me. I won her over.

I'm 20 years old and got a 2SS. When I went to the dealership the first time, they were trying to make me get a 2LT just to get a sale. I saved a little more money and finally got the 2SS. I don't regret my decision at all! i love it! the only thing is the insurance is crazy high! but its a muscle car...get a V8!

Go for a 2ss, so you can have it parked like all the ss owners. I will eventually throw a v12 on my 1LT. Then i will have mine parked.

I think you and everyone else already know the answer to this.... get the SS or be prepared to give a list of lame reasons why you have a V6.

For me, a 6 banger was not even an option. It's a fake Camaro. V8 or it was keeping my 2005 TL. That was a 6 banger with semi luxury.

Insurance can really just depend on so many factors. My SS is cheaper to insure than my 05 TL was, and that's with 2 tickets where my TL was with zero tickets since that insurance company I used didn't know about them yet.

I've had the LT for around a year now, and while I am happy with it, the SS is always in the back of my mind. I'm gonna trade up this week, even though I'll take a hit.

I vote 2SS.

I wish a dip s*** like you would tell me that in person, so i can break their face. The V6 was created for the not so wealthy people. Not everyone was born with a silver spoon up their ass. As for me im a 24 yr old that owns a 2 story house, and has two car notes. Atleast i can say i dont live with mommy and daddy like some of ya'll. Keep bashing on the six. I know what i got.
