dirty looks from other camaro owners

I got honked at by a Black SS when I first got the car, and I waved back, One Vette guy ahead of me waved and one in a immaculate 68 Z28, blue with silver stripes waved at me and I waved back but thats it. I get at least people in mustangs looking once in awhile but the Camaro people just stare straight ahead.

i can spot any gen camaro from almost a 1/4 mile away, and every time i see someone else in a camaro, i wave, and if im close enough i tell 'em, "awesome car!!" a few weeks ago, i looked in my rearview mirror and lo and behold, there comes another 3rd gen(much nicer than mine) and he was going on the same road as i was, and when it turned into a 2-lane, he pulled up next to me. he rolled down his tinted window, looked at my car, at me, then gave me a huge smile and the "peace" sign! i was so freaking excited!!! lol it was the highlight of my year!! iv never had anyone in a camaro be a jerk, but at least 5 ppl with mustangs have laughed at me in my car. its understandable, since my car is beat-to-crap, but still not exactly nice lol

most other camaro owners are generally nice to me, and usually give a thumbs up, but i have had a few that just STARE like they are about ready to get out of their car and attack me. i know what you mean.

I just place my hand up at the windshield with my five fingers apart and around here it has caught on and others are sending back the message...Been Riding Harleys for 35 years and I still give the 2 finger to the ground I was taught many years ago when I see another bike coming my way.

I always wave. If i'm on foot and see the owner I always introduce myself snd tell them about the C5 site. I've only had a few ignore me and I think they just don't feel the brother/sisterhood.

I get more respect from Challenger drivers/any other car driver, Mustangs I find it's mostly females who get mad at my car (??) the guys generally ignore it. Camaro drivers, the only REALLY nice and interactive ones I've met, were from this site. Most give me a dirty look too, like "how dare you have your camaro out, I want all the attention". It happens so much, I barely wave, or give thumbs up, anymore.

Kids STILL go crazy over my car though. On my way to work tonight, I passed a kid walking on the shoulder. When I passed him, he looked up, saw my car and started jumping up and down, throwing thumbs up into the air. God bless the little rascals.

awww that sucks that they don't say hello.. i LOVE seeing other camaro's out.. it's weird but i get this giddy feeling.. lol

very few wavers around here but we always wave anyway. and we seem to have a lot of camaros in our town it seems because saturday we actually saw more camaros and challengers than we did mustangs!

I'll tell you guys a story about my Camaro loyalty. I got pulled for a random pee test for my job (I have a CDL license). Hopefully the guy's car I parked next to is here and can appreciate my effort lol. I pull into the parking lot of Concentra right of Nw 25th St. just before you get to 836 overpass in Miami. There was a yellow 5th gen way in the back of the lot by itself, I was in my big ugly company van. I saw it parked way back there and knew he parked there so there would be less of a chance of someone parking too close. I never take up 2 spots with my car ( I think its kinda douchy to take up 2 spots, I don't care how many spots are open in the lot). But since I was in my work van I parked nexted to the 5th gen but parked right in the middle of 2 spots on his driver side (what do I care it's a work van) ? lol. I did it to protect his one side at least, I was in Concentra for almost an hour and when I came out he was still in the same spot. Hope he was good from that point on..... I always show my bretherean (I spelled that wrong didn't I?) ok my Camaro (any gen) brothers and sisters love. If they choose to throw it back...cool, if not ....whatever

some wave back some don't.I bought the car for me not them.I find that a lot of camaro owners own camaro shrines instead of cars.I drive the hell out of mine we play hard.I think I get more sour looks from other owners for that.wtf...

really!?!? woah that's crazy! i have noticed that mostly the black colored camaros give the bad look, synergy, iom, and the silver one are nicer. i guess some people get the black one to look "cool" sadly i found out about this after i had the car for a while. i want to paint my car a lil bit lighter than aqua blue.

Nope never happened to me, even the SS drivers around town wave and give me a thumbs up whenever I see one on the road.
