Try getting an older V8 and ask her that to be proving grounds. If all goes well in 6 months or a year then maybe you can get the SS? Just don't tell her about HP... since chances are it'll be slower than a Camaro V6.

OR! You could see if she'll let you get an LS or LT for now?

2 are you willing (if not already have one) to get a job? While at the same time keep your grades up?


you already stated that you didnt want a v8 right away. would you be willing to wait a couple more years.

The Camaro is no worse than any other car for a new driver. Inexperience introduces the elements to most young or new drivers that can and often end up in a oopsy. Practice safe driving habits habitually and make sure you go home safe if you do make a mistake. You would be much safer in a new Camaro as compared to an old Cavalier for example. The Camaro is in fact an extremely safe vehicle. I understand her concern, if she won't bend on the Camaro issue, you can still get something else that is nice and just as safe for that kind of money.

take your 20,000 and buy a older camaro, whichever gen you like and restore or mod it to hell and you'll be happy as hell. at least i would do that. thats what im gonna do but with an older c10. when i get older and am making a lot of money then im for sure gonna get an SS or hopefully a Z28.

To all those out there horsepower is not a concern. She realizes Amy car is capable of traveling at fast speed. Her issue is visibility? I mean I as a 15 year drive her 4 door rubicon around. The blind spots aren't bad on that. I mean how bad can the visibility be?

Not Gona lie the visibily sucks Horse Weinner to say the least lol. But you get used to it after a while ( just set your mirrors right ) let you mom see how GM made wide mirrors on the camaro just for that.

I've sat in my uncles semi a few times and the Camaro's is about as bad if not worse. This goes for all the Fbodies really. I've owned in the past a 3rd gen and 4th gen and imo the 5th gen is the worst visibility wise of the three due to the large size of the c pillar and small back window.
