I have nickles, dimes, quarters and pennies and a few dollar bills in there also.
I have about 3- 4 inches of the bottle filled been saving up change since march.
I wonder how much money i would have if i was to fill it up all the way.
I know it would be heavy as hell to carry to the bank, but i'm curious

Doing the same w/ the change jar. $1,600 isn't bad at all! I had a simply apple juice jug that was about 4 inches deep and it came out to $80 or so. Yeah...I wasn't too big on the change thing. But, I quickly saw how I could save quite a bit and wouldn't even notice it.

I've been galvanized into hating change! If ever I get change back - it goes directly into a jar like you guys. I hate carrying it around. So I pay for everything I can in cash - which then usually gives me change, which I put in a jar. It's a very easy, efficient way to save money.

That's a hefty "package". Sorry i couldn't resist...it's the immature side in me.

I sat down the other night and worked out a budget for myself all the way up until sometime in 09.In 01/08 500$ out of everytime i get paid will go to a savings account until i'm at about 20k or so. I want the best Camaro that chevy is gonna produce. If it's 40k i could careless...cause half of it will be paid by cash. Granted somethings will happen along the way i'm sure but even if i had to walk into it with 15k i'm still better off. Like someone said on here before..."there is nothing that's gonna stop me from getting the car i want".

Tag, I'll join in on the fun too. . As far as money saved I've got about 20k now, I'd of had a lot more if I hadn't paid off my mortgage eight years early getting ready for this car. By 09 I should have ???

I just took the $30,000 - 32,900 figure that most would pay and rounded up a little. Of course I would love for a 430 hp base V8 around $30,000 - 32,900.

I am guessing they shouldn't put the base that far out of reach.... I mean look at the Mustang GT that starting out base was about 25G.

The Challenger is getting ready to come out and I haven't seen what the base is for that.

GM should base the maxed out Camaro below the starting price of the bottom line Corvette. If a base V8 starts 30-35, only another 9 and you can have a bottom line Corvette. They should take into consideration what the other bring back cars are selling for, and I can only hope they will......

But if they don't let me know where to meet you and I will help out!!!!

GODSPD3... Love a Chevy.

I have saved about 10k saved up for it, but would like to wait after the first year they come out, even though I can't wait. They get better and better every year. Adding this and that.

yeah, but that's the way of things, especially computers. And unless you upgrade your car every 2 years by trading in for the next version...You learn to deal with it ...

I had a teacher who knew a recently retired teacher (so how he does this:) Who trades in his corvettes every 5-7 years to get the better version. He just bought an atomic orange C6 and had us all drooling over it.

But he loses at least 15-20k everytime he does this.

I want to make the biggest possible down payment on my Camaro, and then pay the rest off ASAP, and then keep it untill I die.

@Drag

I had that bad habbit of buying this car and next year trading it for another new car and so on for 5 years. I would loose 3-5k that I would have to pay out of pocket.

When I buy this car, the year I decide I want to buy it, I will keep it for sure.

Usually the first year a new car comes out, it has problems and they learn on it to improve it for the next 4 years or so till that body style is out.
