The screws are stronger that came with the driveshaft.

What hardness are the stock bolts? I'd assume Grade 8, shown on the bolt head as 8.8. I've seen Grade 10 at my local Ace Hardware, for what it's worth, just not a lot of selection in size.

I think the real issue here is the Giubo twists so much it puts more stress on the bolts because of the weight of the car. with the single shaft its more direct and will not let go.
we have them in both Aluminum and Carbon.

The DSS Aluminum or Carbon shafts are the way to go. It eliminates that soft rubber guibo that twists and moves under heavy acecleration, even worse so on a modified car that accelerates faster
![]() We use DSS on all of our applications from the Vettes to the Camaros. Always have great deals on Frank's DSS components, and only one that we use in our car... 1.39 60' in a 4100 lb car with his components all day long! |

A 10.9 grade metric bolt is the equivalant to a grade 8 standard bolt.
We use metric grade 10.9 or 12.9 on everything. Thanks Chris |

Coupler to diff yoke: Bolt-92139104 (x3) Coupler to trans yoke: Bolt- 92139225 (x3) Nut- 92228333 (x3) I presume this is the fix for snapping bolts on lower numbers.

Bumping this old thread. Does anyone have torque specs for these bolts, specifically for the newer part numbers? How about torque specs for 92228335/92228333? I'm wondering if they revised the torque specs for those. |
