I'm still optimistic about the 6.4 Hemi next year

You guys have a great engine platform, its just the tuning aspect that is so far behind. Once they bring that up to par, the sky is the limit...well I guess then aftermarket involvment will be the limit. But as long as Dodge stays afloat, and cars are selling, the aftermarket is gonna sell parts for sure.

Performance cars may be doomed anyway with CAFE and other government regulations though.

Now I really like the Challenger...its a VERY nice looking ride, but I mean, coming on a Camaro forum and saying your car is better at this and that??? I guess its gonna happen, but whatever. The mopar is inferior on most accounts (not opinion)...skid pad, 0-60, 1/4 mile, mpg, lane change, braking, road course, etc etc...The Camaro will own these, and based on the shear size of this car, rear seating and truck space will far exceed previous 4th gen's. Chevy aimed at a different kind of buyer with this car, while trying to retain its usual "muscle car" base. This car can corner, but it will still out accelerate most cost comparable cars.

Also, the Mopar aftermarket is light years behind Chevy. All these Vette LS3 aftermarket parts, will already fit, headers will be developed in short order and tuning is already available. I respect your choice to buy your Challenger or Charger or whatever, I used to own a Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 and they do have some impressive capabilties. But I'm a Chevy guy and the SS was an easy choice.

At least we are all buying American and hopefully getting our Nations economy and auto industry moving in the right direction.
yes that is the advantage you have on the challenger...aftermarket...everything else is subjective...not facts..the camaro is only a couple tenths quicker in the 1/4th than the challenger....that makes it a drivers race on the street...who hits the gas faster...who spins less...lots of things to take into account.

these cars are both quick...and track? I would never track a muscle car..but at least these cars are lightyears better on the skid then its ancestors...even the challenger.

They said the same thing 30 years ago. The sad thing is that the manufactures dont improve their game unless they are forced too.

That's for sure!

The Camaro has more lines... flashy!! ewww pretty... LOL
That catches the eye, along with a nice exhaust tone after it catches the ear and rattles you to your soul...

Not that Toyota is in the performance car industry any more, but when they were!! WOW! That Supra was something special... anyway I digress, one thing about Toyota's, they have a plant right here in good ol Cal-If-Orn-I-A. They employee a lot of Americans who make decent money and have great benefits. Plus you can't beat they way they run their assembly line, it's pretty dang high tech!! I'm not sure how Oshawa is ran after it's renovation (at elast I hear it was renovated? anyway... buying a Toyota does not hurt our economy if you ask me

But I hear they are having financial difficulty too? ...

He is going to beat you, no matter how well you drive. If it is a manual Camaro, then you better cross your fingers and pray to your HEMI god that he misses a shift. Otherwise, he is going to beat you worse, and the only thing you will have to brag about is your number of spark plugs.

The R/T Challenger is a better car, I believe, than the SRT-8 as far as price is concerned. Until you start modifying your car, however, be fully prepared to take the numerous defeats you can, and undoubtedly will, suffer at the hands of SS Camaros you thought you could hang with.
I love it!!!!! It's all in good fun!!

I don't see where you're coming from vis a vis interior though.

Challenger interior is a bit plain but that said it's clean, functional, and aof good quality. Looks classy but not very fancy.

Camaro interior has some awful cues that ruing the execution.

That is freakin hallarious... I love it

much better then the boob imprints on my Pontiac...

Looks like its a mammory test machine lol

man oh man

just checked the canadian pricing on the 1ss. Getting harder and harder to defend the challenger... In Canada you cannot get a challenger R/T with cloth seats... i guess things like that contribute to an inflated price.
