I'm really surprised they went with staggered tires on the camaro, especially since they are only 275's out back.

yea, they should've left that optional like they did with the 4th gens. Basically some 4th gen owners bought wheels that way if they wanted. I want a set of zr1s(c4 style) 17x9F and 17x11R for racing and I'll keep my 17x9 chrome 10 spokes for whatever else

Wider rear tires reduce oversteer and help straight line accleration. Wider fronts reduce understeer and help in braking.
Its statements like these that put things into perspective. 275's are big, but not unheard of anymore and its not unreasonable for some to be wanting wider.
