Haha .

Any chance they can get a group picture of the build team, and then below the picture, have them sign the photo. Then mass produce this and
give it with the paper work of the buyers new ZL1?

Did ABM drop below 3% for any length of time before it was pulled?

I'd like to see some ZL1 television commercials. I've seen several CTS-V television commercials, but not many Camaro commercials.

I'll even set the scene and provide some copy.

It's late afternoon. A man walks out of his office building and across the parking lot to his ZL1 convertible with its top down. He gets in and drives to the portico of the Four Seasons Hotel at Burton and Doheny where he gives a knowing glance and waves to a waiting gorgeous blond who smiles and hops in the ZL1. They exit and drive north to Sunset and then west to the Pacific Coast Highway where they pull on to Will Rogers Beach and park facing the setting sun. The frame captures the couple sitting in the ZL1 from behind looking at the beach and the setting sun over the Pacific Ocean.

Here's the voice over --

Some Guys Have It Tough

ZL1 convertible owners are not necessarily the most carefree people in the world, but there are moments when every ZL1 convertible driver must think himself thrice blessed. Here's a car that, more than any other, has an uncanny ability to erase the day's cares and woes and whisk its driver far, far away. Turn on the key, engage first gear and step on it: Good-bye office, hello better things of life. We'll make no attempt to analyze the chemistry of such a phenomenon; it's all blurred by things like the feeling of wind on your face, the sound of the ZL1 exhaust, the cyclone surge of a truly great V8 engine. We will be more than happy, however, to direct you to your nearest Chevrolet dealer to sample a ZL1 convertible. Look at it, sit in it, drive it, and you'll find that we haven't exaggerated a bit. We couldn't exaggerate these things if we tried. (Polished wheels, as shown, optional at extra cost) . . . Chevrolet Division of General Motors, Detroit 2, Michigan.

If they have a brighter blue when the ZL1 vert is release, I'm making the trade...

blue.....blue....blue....i want lemans blue (clinging to a dead horse leg)!

(Sigh)....its an excellent car so I'm really not that upset. It is now a good time for chevy to hear what some potential owners would like to have in their camaro. One other note; I understand some of the realities of producing cars, in that you have to combine resources in order to make production economical for both the company and the buying public. I just want to remind our community that we are not buying Impalas, or cruze or equinox. We are into camaros....and thus camaros should shout excitement. At least consider some colors that could cross over onto other lines and express excitement and passion at the same time.

I don't want a high performance car that looks like turd, otherwise I'd buy a viper.

The right color is every bit as important to me as the performance. In fact I am considering not buying a ZL1 now because of the color choices. You see, If I'm paying the amount it looks like they are going to cost, which is now about 10g's over what I and everyone else thought it was gonna be, I at least need to like the color. So there's at least one possible lost sale due to boring colors. I've got my eye on a new synergy green SS as a possible alternative..I like that color, and It leaves me 30k in upgrades and mods.

It just seems to me good colors are a pretty easy option to offer to allow people to have a little individualism in their ride. I don't really want to "settle" for a color that I'm "ok" with. Its easy if the color you happen to love is available, but a lot of people are bored with the common colors on vehicles.
The camaro needs bright colors, not colors I had to choose from when buying my toyota. The camaro just screams for bright in you face colors and i don't get why its so hard for GM to offer them. When offered they dont even keep them long enough for some people to order them. (myself) They had ABM and SGM and I loved both of those colors but guess what they are no longer available. When i ordered my first camaro back in 2009 I knew exactly what color i wanted and that was ABM. I hadn't even seen the color in person and i knew i had to have it. I want to place an order for a 2012 camaro but I cant because all the colors offered right now aren't doing it for me. We are now back to the boring color pallet offered by all other manufactures.
