so all i want to know is which of you future ZL1 owners is gonna trade me the bumper from your car for the one on my V6 so you can have that plain old bone stock base model sleeper look. I bet those GT500's or blown SS's wont be expecting to get their doors blown off at the strip by what looks like a V6.

To the OP, its more then likely that Al did not know, (I know he is the Chief Engineer for the car) But that does not mean he fits the parts on the car with his hands, I is a group leader, I see your point in wanting something that is limited to that car, But you have to know that the only way to do that will make this car cost 5X or more then it is now.

You also need to look at the blessings you have that you can get the car in the first place, And there is an old like that the best form of flattery is to emulate, so be happy you have what you have.

Now i know why so meany of you don't post in my threads.

Alright everyone - keep the comments clean. '68 is, obviously, very passionate. Some comments are borderline insulting and rude. Please keep the comments respectful - you don't have to agree, but you don't have to put anyone down or piss in their cereal either.

Respectfully...

Yeah, probably, better just to drink the urine without the cereal.

Not intended to anyone just my odd Canadian sense of humour.

Agreed Radz, too many people living in glass houses throwing stones, and it's beyond borderline.

I can't wait to get MRC, ZL1 bumper, and hood for my SS. Everything is interchangeable with enough dollars.

J/k about the MRC but maybe not about the bumper and hood, we'll see. I would NEVER call it a ZL1 though.

The general public cant tell the difference between the base model ls and a top level 2SS/RS so dont sweat it. The people that do know the difference will spot the fake.

Besides, ZL1 style mods have been out for a while now from those bumper inserts to body kit pieces. No big deal to me...

When the ZL1 hood becomes available, I am getting one and I bet it fits with out any issues...The ZL1 is still a "Production" Camaro that shares probably 98% of all the Body mount locations, hood hinges, strut tower location mounts, and all other similar sheet metal and body mounting points... I also can't believe the wheels from the ZL1 Won't fit, hell I saved the wheels when I had my 2004 GTO and installed them on my 2002 Z28 and they fit great...

Don't forget... It's still a Camaro.. Not a "Custom" ride...
