So how do feel the HFCs changed the tone after you added them? Did they make the tone any lower...or just louder? I'd like to know your thoughts.

Thanks!
I know how to get there

I feel like this is a dumb question, but if I (more like when I) purchase universal HFCs I just purchase 2 right? Do longtube setups w/ HFCs delete the second set of cats, reuse a pair, or what Just never thought about it before now

the hfc's made it deeper and louder. I added a video to that last video post with solos and no x, so now there is a before solo, after solo, and after x pipe vid

If you get long tube headers with cats, you dont need any other cats.

I feel like I am over posting so this will be my last video for a while.

2011 Camaro V6, CAI intake, Doug Thorley Shorty headers, Solo high flow cats, Magnaflow resonated x-pipe, Flowmaster AMT axle backs. In cabin, windows up, medium acceleration to about 60 mph getting up to around 5,000 rpms;

KmPrenger, feel free to add any of these to your exhaust thread sticky

I wasn't very clear in that late night post haha. I'm $600 into my shorties so they're not coming off. When swapping my stock cats to high flows with the shorties, do I purchase 2 high flows and delete a set, reuse a pair, or purchase 4 high flows? I hope that makes a little more sense

You need 2 high flow cats. You dont use ur stock cats; you only need 1 cat per side

Ok thanks for clearing that noob question up for me! I'll be ordering universal HFCs today, and we'll see how the sound compares to your pre-resonated x setup

Btw, that last video sounds awesome like all the others

Make videos of how it sounds now and after and then after and then after each mod. Lol. Inside, outside, and driving. For all of us

Got started on the install of the Solo HF res-cats. As expected, I had to do some cutting- but as I feared they needed quite a bit of paring down.

I'm gonna have to trim a little off the stock catback to squeeze them in.

I've included a shot showing what you get for your $. First pick the interior of the stock cat, then Solo cat and resonator:

Thanks for the pics. You cut the flanges off?

Nope, they come with the JBA shorty headers, and I had an extra set already so...
That just gave me another excuse to get the Solo's!

I expect you could cut the original set off, if you had to. I expect JBA would sell you a new pair as well.

I finished the install and have'em tacked in place (more pics to follow soon). Gotta work the next couple of days so I can pay for these things!

Just realised you may mean the flanges that come on the Solo's! Yes, had to cut them off to shorten them and weld on a JBA "stacker" flange (what's in the last pic). The cut off flange is in the 1st pic on the right.

If you're mounting these to your stock exhaust manifolds, you don't have to do any of this! Just bolt'em on and go!!
