They'll only break my deal by screwing up the appearance of the production model. That will likely not happen judging by the recent spy shots. I can always add power, shave weight, change the color, throw on an appearance package, etc... That's the excellent thing about Camaros. They're always hobbies. It'll give me something to do when I want some me time. It gives me a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction when I personally upgrade my automobiles. It is a great feeling when you spend a weekend removing and replacing parts on your car correctly, taking her for a drive and actually feeling the power difference. I'll have at least 700 horses in her and an an appearance bundle that'll knock the socks off any lookers by the time she's paid off. She'll be a savvy little beast!

The only deal breaker for me would be if the wife says NO!

Deal breakers for me would be poor handling/cheap interior.

A big deal-breaker for me will be the seating. I'm short, and I need a good adjustable seat. A friend of mine let me take a quick spin in his mid-90s Trans Am back when I was in high school...the seats were really low in the car and didn't adjust up and down, and a lot of my immediate forward view was obscured by the hood, and with the headlights up, it was even trickier. Most cars have pretty good adjustable seats these days, so I doubt it would be a problem.
Price, of course, will be another consideration, but again, I don't think that'll be an issue. |

I'm in the same spot but the other direction. Tall and large. If I dont fit in this beauty like I do in my Monte Carlo then I will unfortunatly have to pass. I truely hope there is some nice compartment space.

I have to say it's becoming price for me. I mentioned the silly booking price to my mom and she wasn't surprisde that it might get that high. If they're selling thee cars for uptowards 500 000 or even 450 000 SEK here...I'm gonna have to pass. I love the car, but I'm not confident I can afford that.

my main and probably only deal breaker is if it didn't feel like a camaro to me. I'm not really worried about it but to put it shortly, when I'm cruising down the highway, I DO NOT want to hear a weed whacker going down there

I hope they don't have a live rear axle like on the Mustang. Give it a proper suspension and LSD. Make sure that it can go around corners with good grip and not just fast in a straight line. Steering should give the appropriate amount of feedback. Please don't make it understeer so much that we would have to replace the entire suspension just to get it to point in the right direction!
Also, if it has a cheap plastic interior and the build quality is poor, that is a definate deal breaker. They should take lessons from Honda, MB and BMW on how to make a good, tactile, interior. Price isn't going to bother me too much. It has to be in the packaging. Give us good prices on packages and a lot of a la carte options so everyone doesn't have the same car on the road. |

It will have IRS. The new Camaro is built on the Zeta chasis which is designed for such a setup. No worries there.

I'm 6' tall and couldn't even SEE the hood of my 2002 Camaro. So I'm curious how a short person could see so much of the hood that it blocked their view when I couldn't see any of it. You could always do what a short woman I used to be friends with did. LOL She kept a small, firm pillow on her drivers seat. haha JK |

about the pillow...so far in the whole of my driving life, I've never had to use a pillow, and I wouldn't like to start now.

My deal breakers for the 2010 Camaro are the following: 1) The Camaro MUST weigh in at less than 3775lbs (max), 2) Price, because I can get a Corvette if the Camaro is too expensive, 3) Camaro is not considerably faster, model for model, than the equivalent Mustang (same year). These are the only three things that I require more my Camaro.

Just wondering, why 3775 pounds? We're all concerned about weight, and that's a reasonable target, but oddly specific. We usually say 3500 pounds or 3700 pounds. So any specific reason for that very specific number?
