Phil,
My 3 inch kit is waiting for me in California (I'm moving there from DC in three weeks). About how often do you need to clean/rinse the surface of the Nanoskin? Every panel, every 2x2 feet? I usually fold my clay every 2x2 feet or so I would imagine you'd need to scrub off the Nanoskin periodically as you do your work. Thanks, Chad |

I know a lot are saying it will work with a PC but will it also work with the Flex 3404 (I think it is?)?

I want to bite, I just don't get what's stopping the stuff from scratching when it's picked up with the pad.

Its a pretty steep investment to get setup with this. I'm sticking with good old clay for now.

I'm planning on a review soon. Just haven't had time this summer to do much of nothing.

I didn't see an answer for the what's the difference question. The answer is a rotary does exactly that rotates. A orbital floats without spinning the head. You will burn your paint very easily
with a rotary.

Okay guys. I just tried this today. I was gonna do a video review, but my camera was dead and I forgot to charge it. I was going to charge it to make a video, but after I saw the marring I decided not to because I didn't want to scratch my car up anymore. So I'm just gonna post some pics and thoughts on this.
This is my paint before. It was polished to near perfection before I tried this on it. ![]() This is the marring after the Nanoskin Autoscrub. ![]() Here it nearly looks like I burned my the edge of the cowl of my hood, but I didn't. ![]() I used a ton of lube and even broke it in on my glass for a long time. Overall I do think this is good for a professional detailer or somebody that has a nasty nasty daily driver that hasn't been clayed in years, but on my Camaro I will not use this again. I will stick to my Meguiar's clay. I tested the clay on a different spot for comparisons and it didn't mar hardly at all. It was so light that I couldn't even get a picture of it. Sorry for no videos guys. I am not using this on my car again because I keep it so maintained. Anyone that drives a Camaro probably will never need to go this aggressive. And just to let you guys know, the marring did come out very easy, but it was a lot more than fine clay. |
