I had a friend buy a car from Las Vegas, drove it to Oakland, CA., paid 1000 for shipping to Honolulu, HI. He paid MSRP. That was back in 2010. I'm sure shipping is more today, but at least it's cheaper than buying it from here. Just gotta do your own legwork.

Basically it's cheaper to send my car to Hawaii than to buy winter tires. Wonder if my wife will go for this justification . . .

I was trying to buy a 03/04 Cobra over there about 6 years ago. Even for a used car, the mark-up was rediculous! It was really pissing me off. New cars are the same there, mark-up is unbelieveable.

I ended up purchasing my 04 Cobra in Florida, sight unseen. I had it trucked to CA and then boated to HI. Even with the purchase price of the car and the shipping costs, it was thousands of dollars cheaper than buying from those stealerships there.

Wow what a car to cruise the island with. I spent 9 yrs there in the Military, lived up in Wapio Gentry. Back then I used to run my stock 86 Mustang GT, that I purchased new there at the 1/4 mile track. Had alot of fun

I wish I could see this post before I buy...
Im happy to have my car even with that kind of price, but I really don't wanna get ripped any more..
I wanna use that money to get upgrade instead, rather than wasting money for "those stealerships"

Thank you for the information!
