yes, horsepower sound the best...............
BUT, a dynaudio 3 way set and 4-30 HZ ported 8" subs with 800 watts on the doors and 1600 watts on the subs(old school precision power only).............isn't too bad either..............
my Z71 likes it..........

I know this is a Camaro forum, but Dodge has really hit it on the head with the MYGIG system. I'd love a unit that can rip audio cd's straight to a hard drive so I would not have to keep cd's in the car anymore. I don't care about putting pictures on the hard drive like the MYGIG system does, but I definitely want to store music. Why plug in the IPOD when you can have all the music stored in the dashboard?

The question is can Chevy do it or will there be an aftermarket system that will have a hard drive & look good in the Camaro?

Anyway, with the exception of my head unit, my whole system is from Rockford Fosgate...and I haven't personally heard any components sound better. I have 4 3-way speakers, 1 10 inch sub, 900 Watt Sub amp, 1500 watt speaker amp, and a 1000 watt capacitor. I spent more than I, personally, should have...but I got an amazing deal overall.

My mom's Passat has a Monsoon system and I'm never been impressed. The other thing is that I don't know of any car company that's been able to give a sound system that could stand up against the aftermarket. Nonetheless, I would love to see GM squeeze at least a 10 speaker sound system into the Camaro, from JL...since I don't see Rockford Fosgate being an option. Those 10 speakers include a center channel and sub. I say a center channel because I've only seen them used in luxury sedans and I think that it adds an excellent dimension to the sound quality.

The other thing I wanted to add was that in seeing spy shots of the interior the only thing that made me a little sad is that we haven't seen a screen like the G8 GT (for instance).

I don't really want GPS/navigation, but I do want a nice 7-inch screen that holds all information...there's always the pop-up unit in the CTS
Zomg, you live in kansas city! :P i know those radio stations. lol

Ahhh all this speculation and talk..... only if the Camaro5 were already here!
ack JL, Just Label Lickers. Atleast backin the day. I wouldn't mind B&O or Dynaudio. I'll probably end up putting in Dynaudio and Tube Driver Amps.

How will this compare to the Monsoon from the '02 Z and the bose from the '06 Z(71)?

Wow! BA! That's the only make I'll ever use for car speakers, and GM is acutally using them for the optional factory system.

Very impressed. Very, very, VERY impressed.
