CamaroScotty has been one of the most informative persons on this forum. He comes on here to share his opinion based on years of experience. There are dealers out there who deserve to be blasted, he is not one of them.

I really don't care what he says elsewhere. Text messaging and posts on forums like this are perfect for taking things out of context and getting only half of the story.

If you have a problem with what he has said, PM him or better yet call him. It is ridiculous to publically flog him like this.

Look everyone. This is not a big deal. The mods here also go over there. We've known about those posts for a while. And we chose not to overtly act on them.

The owner of 5thgen has publicly endorsed C5 as some of you have seen. We appreciate that and also see them as a friend in the larger camaro community. They do some things better than we do and we have our benefits also.

Regardless of your assessment of Scotty's posts on 5thGen, I think an argument can be made that they were a little careless but harmless.

To be perfectly honest, our own members have made more offesive posts about C5 here for all to see. So lets be objective here.

I certainly won't discredit his entire body of participation here by a few less than endearing posts at another forum.

Make your own opinion of him based on all the information available.

This is not going to be a flame Scotty thread. We all have to pay the price for our actions but he gets the same protection from insults that any other members get. Don't cross the line.

To be clear, I'm neither endorsing or discrediting Scotty. I've made my assessment based on all communications I've had with him. I feel my opinion is justified.

you all should do the same and leave it at that.

Time to move on.

But as I bask in the sun in 80 heat here in Wisconsin, I want to make it clear, I looked at it as a fun rivalry, like the Brewers vs. the Cubs, nothing more. Some people took offense to that, and for that I apologize. Yes I post on both, and even camaroz28. All RESPECTFULLY are GREAT sites, with great people. I've made great friends from both, and I've helped COUNTLESS people from both forums. Some of which I have even met in person. Some of which even invited me to their homes if I am in the area. For that I am extremely happy.

Together all these sites have one common goal. to provide the BEST information on the BEST car from the BEST company - in my opinion. The owners and mods on all the sites are great, I can communicate like a human being to them, and I know they share this common goal and passion.

And to make it clear, ALL these sites have my greatest respect, as do the people that run and maintain them. This is how I feel, and that will not change. Thanks to everyone who provides the time, information and discussion on this car I love. I guess we all won't disagree, and I know we won't be happy until we can all drive one home. Yes, I too am getting Camaro burnout. I want all my orders filled, and I want 50 on the lot! And I want a 'vert in my driveway! It is frustrating, but allowing them to get built right and being patient is our only option if we want this car.

Hopefully this will put some things to rest.
