I believe the GM Highwing is the T3 one. My firebreather will be installed in a week or two I just got it in the mail yesterday. Gotta get it painted. To order the firebreather go this this forum http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=97507&page=1

no high wing spoiler for me, but i am thinking about buying a carbon fiber trunk and putting a wing like the SSx on , for the track only.

it would be pretty difficult to design a spoiler that wasn't at least partially functional (even if only at higher speeds). to claim that the majority of spoilers on the streets are non functional is entirely false. am I going to need to carry around wind tunnel testing results if I get a wing to please the anti rice brigade? you can like or dislike them all you want, but the term rice is pretty silly.

unfortunately, wind tunnel testing is very expensive, and 95% of the spoilers out there were created with no wind tunnel testing, and based purely on knowledge of down force, and looks. coming from an import, the wind tunnel testing products (like voltex) were very expensive, and you'd be paying 1500-2000$ for a spoiler. most people are not tracking their car and do not want to pay extremes for data they don't care about.

I saw a Camaro around here with a wing that was taller than the ones in any of the pictures in this thread... it looked ridiculous! But, what ever you like...

This could easily cost $1,000 by the time you're done, however, the DoveTail at $400 US ( which uses the same holes as the RS/SS ) will look a lot better IMO.
Where can I get this spoiler, I love this look!

What don't you get about it? If you get it not having one or get it having a spoiler over a wing, well you get having one. It's the same appeal/concept as the other options. It's about looks and or functionality.

A wing doesn't make a car rice. Rice rockets are about more than that.

I know that this is just concept, but has anyone looked into making this wing? I think it looks pretty nice.

A majority aren't truly functional, they are for looks. Technically nailing on a piece of wood on the back of your ride is going to be fictional, only technically. About every wing I see on a car is essentially that. Just a wing bolted on a car. Nothing more, nothing else. It's not there for performance, it's there for looks, just like nearly all after market body kits are on there for the looks, not for functionality. Just like when I had my RSX I imported over a Type-R body kit. Why? For the looks.

So a spoiler that is for looks is considered rice??? If that's the case then every SS is rice. People that use the term "rice" are being hypocritical 90% of the time and are just talking out of their a$$ because they don't like the way something looks. Vinyl stripes, factory spoilers, fake vents, and 20" wheels could all be considered "rice" and guess what most of the people calling the highwing spoiler "rice" have on their cars...

I love the look of the highwing spoiler that GM never put out. I think it looks more aggressive.

You would need to have some serious torque to require one of those high spoilers...I, for one, will never allow myself to get that much torque if it means I need to have one of those. The dovetail one looks sweet, and more like the originall Camaro ss...not some euro/jap hybrid.
