Bang that LS7 drum and lead the Z/28 parade. I'll march with you.

It doesn't need to have the Z28 moniker, but that is certaainly an added inducement to purchase. Last edited by Cuda7050; 07-21-2012 at 12:25 AM. |

I think the the LS7 Z28 is coming and that it will start around $45,000+. You will not see the Z28 if it is built for less money than that. Why build the 1LE if the Z28 was going to be cheap? Expect a Z28 at Boss LS prices with high content. It will be a Halo car like the ZL1. Chevy is soft pedaling the 1LE leaving marketing room here for another HP Camaro.
Now this is just guessing like most everyone else here. But if you read enough threads on C5 there are clues. Sometimes it can be what is said or not said. I would not think we will hear anything official until at least the end of the year once the 1LE gets its day in the sun. I suspect a firm decision on building the Z28 has not been made yet. And I am getting no one in trouble. For my vote the dream Z28 is not car that most want on this forum. I do not agree there is only one true interpretation of the next Z28. But if this one comes we may see mine the next one after that. I am encouraged hearing about Corvettes running around with small V8 turbos. Future that.

I would like to see a Z28 with ZL1 aero and brakes, 1LE suspension, BOSS 302 LS power to weight, minimal electronics on the inside and Z28 specific wheels. Black with red stripes, RS package and my name on the title.

you'd love the 427 LS7 motor in these camaro. they just dont stop pulling though the 7000 RPM red line
Easy to bump the LSA to 600HP for the ZL1 and drop an LS7 into the Z/28 and you'll love it. throw some bolt ons and a nice cam in it and put down 560-570 RWHP www.TampaTuning.com |

My Z28 Formula:
Okay, I might have to add a few of these things myself. When I heard there was a Corvette running around with a small turboed V8 it got me to thinking. How perfect would that be for an ATS Camaro?
