Please tell me that's a photoshop. I seriously hope they didn't do that to a genuine 1st gen....oh no....

I'm sure (IMO) that's a V6 prototype. They aren't going to show us the big daddy anytime soon as that will give Ford and Chrysler even more to work with when it comes to their cars. This IS the V6.

The "mohawk" roof will also, IMO I'm SURE, come standard on this car. If you want the sunroof, you have to take the flat looking roof to get it. Now...if you can't get a sunroof w/ mohawk roof, there's no point, IMO. I could easily take a sunroof, but removing the mohawk look from the roof takes away SO MUCH from the original concept design. I couldn't live w/ a simple flat, non-concept roof. I'd like the sunroof....but it just isn't worth losing that "look."

I think they are probably still contemplating the gas cap loaction. That's a prototype and I bet they are either filling it up from behind the plate or in the trunk. Either that, or the photoshopped the picture to keep a suprise for us. Regarding the wheels, I agree that a wee-bit larger wheels would be better. That's just another reason why I think it could be a V6.

and one more thing, i dont see a key hole for the trunk. obvioulsy, i know that there will be a latch for it in the car and also in the keyless, but just wanted to point it out. will they put a key hole?

i cant wait to see it done!!!!!
My '08 CTS has thin reverse lights under the taillamps. They are LED and they ARE BRIGHT! I suspect the ones in the pic are LED as well. My car also has no key hole anywhere on the car except the drivers door. Could be the same here. I hope so because I hate key holes!

I agree 100% with everything you just said. I was going to type out a response of my own, but you did it for me.

Im going to say its the v6 version, just look at the brakes, they are defiantly not big enough for it to be a v8 version, that or they just decided to slap whatever brakes they had at the time on the v8, which i dont think is very likely, and if that is indeed the v6 version i cant wait to see what they add to the v8. I LOVE THIS CAR

I'm not sure who the 'our' is you're speaking for...but it certainly exceeded MY expectations! Just remember it's not done, yet.
+1 on every point here.

Its gonna suck if I have to buy a whole new Camaro off the lot just to gut it!
Some of the Mustang racers had to buy V6 key & heater Mustangs, I think Ford sold all there BIW's.
I'll keep the faith and wait it it out. Can't help lovin Camaro's!!!

Nothing, they just aren't ready yet so they grabed what fit and went with it

You know, the more I think about it the more I think that designers ought to keep the rear bumper smooth and add the "backup lamps" to the two inside tail lights instead. That's closer to the '69.
