I love the car!, The wealth of information available is awesome! I'm on here pretty much all day, not like posting but browsing through everything, the mod bug does bite hard. I really enjoy the people on here, and the off-topic section is epic. I'm 20.

LOL...sorry, my son says that alot.
So... Why are you personally a part of C5? Huge Camaro fan...grew up in paint and body shop and there were always Camaros in there. Love the community, nothing like it. No other car brings Americans together like a Camaro. Thats special to me. I enjoy learning about what's new and seeing things that I've never seen just like the rest of you guys and gals. I'll never get tired of the brand or the people behind it. Why do you continue to be an active member? Maybe I answered that part above? LMAO. I meet people everyday. But I meet Great people here. Some of the best folks I've met in life have been here. And that was all after a 9 year military career that spanned across the world and through several hundred contacts and friends. I enjoy not only seeing people build and own their dreams, but also grow and learn right before my eyes. Incredible at times. What is the most important part of the website for you? The User CP....notifies me of active threads and those with folks looking for help. I love the PM area as well because it allows a forum for those who might want to ask a private question or get more details on something without being public. HOW OLD ARE YOU!? 37...."in a row?" ![]() (Clerks reference....one of my all time favorite movies. I always say "in a row" everytime I've heard "37" for the last 16 years or so. ROFLMAO Great movie.) Good thread. ![]() Ivan |

But, for real, I saw the 5th Gen Camaro and immediately Googled it back in 2007 and found this place.
Eventually signed up and this was hang out central while waiting for production. In the meantime I met a number of members and knew them personally. Have made a lot of friends on here the whole time. This is the only forum I've ever signed up on. We made this forum personal in many ways. From what I here it's quite different than most forums. I'm actually pretty proud of that. I think this place gets addictive because the 5th Gen Camaro really is different. The layoff from 2002 to 2010 made it one of the most anticipated car ever, and that excitement plus having a place to come talk about it was the perfect storm to bring a bunch of super enthusiasts together to hang out. I am a member of Camaro5 because there are a lot of people here who share my Camaro love and it's nice to have a bunch of friends who are 'In the same boat' lol........... To answer the question that might be more helpful to your project........ ![]() I am 42 years old. Sit at a desk in a business that I own. I have to be here and most of the time I'm in front of the computer with free 'keyboard time'. When we started our business we lost most of our friends. Not lost, but grew away from. The business took so much of our time and our schedules just conflicted with what we were used to. After telling people no when invited to a party or and event or just out on the town after a while they stop asking. We are all still friends but just never get together. Here on C5 I started realizing that I'm spending more time with these knuckleheads than I did with our friends before the business. ![]() So the common interest brought us all together so to speak. Plus, I would have NEVER modded my car without this forum. Not to the point it is anyway. Lots of help and resources to pull from. DIY vids and write ups and advice. You realize really quickly that these are real people who have real ideas and commonalities. You get help, you give help. Hope this helps.

Why are you personally a part of C5?
When I started thinking about a camaro, the first thing I did was go to a dealership to 'try one on' and see if I'd actually like it. I did, but I wasn't ready to buy without more research. The salesman I spoke to left me with a camaro brochure and suggested I check out camaro5.com for more info. Why do you continue to be an active member? Now that I own a camaro I'm coming here to learn all about the car, what I can do to it, and what I can do with it. The community is entertaining too, and I may eventually join in some of the nearby cruises. I work with a computer all day as well, but of course I only access this site during breaks. ![]() What is the most important part of the website for you? Originally, information on the differences between models with the options and mods available for them. Currently, information on my car specifically and it's possibilities. Eventually my focus may shift more towards the community. HOW OLD ARE YOU!? 54, for a few more days.

I have had a few Camaro's in my younger days and thought it was time I had another fun car.
This site is what informed me that there would be a fifth gen Camaro when I WAS googleing Mustangs and Camaros back in 2008. There was so much information here with more news coming in everyday. I was able to research the new Camaro and many helpful members here had all the answers to any questions I could ask. I stay here because I still learn more about all the different variants and models of these great cars and it is like an extended family here. Lots of good ideas for mods and great vendors with good deals. Plus the entertainment around here is great. I am 59 but you may not guess that if you met me. Just a kid at heart.

Because I'm a 22 year old who is too socially awkward for interaction with people in real life and I have a computer at work.
![]() No, but honestly I've always liked car forums. Their a great place to get advice, ideas, and connect with other owners across the world. |
