Vicent who posted earlier is not running a breather and has the PVC leak.

Orifice Removed

Vicent,

Your leak is at the other end of the PVC line so yes there could be a chance you orifice (or whatever is called) is clogged, creating a backup.

Thanks for the suggestion. Last night, I managed to remove the orifice and took me just around 15 minutes including the drilling.

The holes of that thing are really tiny. Really oiled up when i took it off but im still not so sure if it's really clogged because i blew air in the other end of the orifice with no restriction or whatsoever. I did the same with the hose that's connected to the CAI and the part where the oil is leaking. Air can flow through but a little restricted, I assume it's because of that "can-like" thing in the middle of the hose. How do you call that "thing", by the way?

Anyways, I still cleaned the orifice and ported the holes. let's see if there's any development after 1 week.

Thanks again

just installed my catch can and breather set up this weekend....unfortunately i didnt have a drill so i was unable to port the orifice....I plan on doing that real soon. I also wanted to mention that the bracket that was sent was way to small to mount to the radiator and if i did mount it then the can would not fit because the fan shroud is in the way....whats up with the small bracket? it doesnt look like any of ther others ive seen??? SO i mounted the small bracket to another bracket in the area...see pics...this install took me about 2 hrs....yea go ahead laugh, i had a hard time mounting the bracket and also cutting the plastic tube with a razor blade wasnt easy. and so on and so on. I did find the rubber nipples in the box and pulling out the old tube and capping them off was the easiest thing. i screwed on the breather cap and went for a ride...ALL IS GOOD!! hopefully i wont run into any problems....i just need to port that orifice and i should be in good shape.

Is that a throttle body spacer? Also how did you get your breather filter to be black, mine is white. Looks nice.

Does this only happen on a certain engine type or certain years?

Today I went to drain my catch can and I noticed the white filter on my Rx breather is stained a little black towards the top. Does this mean that the orifice thing is clogged?

You can use a fabric dye . I did mine yellow and it has held up great for over a year now.

Is the filter part of the breather paper? I am just curious because it is really dirty, have to clean that orifice in the pcv but since my car is in storage that isn't a top priority atm. I was wondering if it is paper because I was wondering if I would be able to clean it at all but I guess if it's paper then I can't.
