Judging from the first photo with the string hanging out, I'd say this proves beyond a doubt that your car is a female and she is having her monthly visitor.....
![]() Just give her some space, understand her mood swings and hopefully in a few days, she'll be good as new and ready to ride again.

You aren't the only one with this issue. I just bought a used '12 ZL1 GM certified one 2 days ago and happen to look in the exhaust pipes today randomly and saw it. Its just as bad as yours...
It doesn't effect me any really but now that I know its there, it will. Plus given the fact that brand new NPP exhausts don't look like this as I had a 1LE and it was perfect...I will post pics tomorrow Last edited by FINALLYSATISFIED; 01-16-2013 at 11:32 PM. |

Just checked mine, didn't see it at first then looked closer and it's coming out way far in the back working its way forward. 1800 miles...

I wonder if GM knows this and will release something so we are about to get it warrantied with no issues from dealerships.

Well.. There have been hundreds of us with convertible top issues and it took well over a year for the first TSB to be published.

So easy to love Camaros

Check the part numbers to see if you're just getting the same muffler. We are curious to see if they (GM) actually are giving you a fixed part or just the same one that you will see fall apart again. Keep us posted. Thx

Just got back from track day at Buttonwillow and noticed same issue... Should I bother to take my roto fab kit off before taking it to dealer?

Hmm... I noticed some 'steel wool' coming out my second pipe from the left the other day. All the other pipes are clear. My car is in storage. I had put it up on floor jacks and was taking pics of the car on jacks and noticed the stuff coming out the pipe. I was going to write something here to see if anyone knew what it was or if it was a serious issue. Guess I don't have to now. I'll take it in to the dealership when she's out of storage. I have just over 3000Km on my ZL1.
