I didn't say a manual was better. I said you can't compare the feeling of manualy shifting a muscle car with tapping on some levers.

LOL...so you're basically admitting that you let other people's opnions influence your decision making. That's sad my friend. You decided to "grow balls" by getting a manual?? LMAO. If your car is the only thing in your life that makes you feel like a man, then you must lead a sad sad life.

You might as well & take it if you allow others to influence what makes you happy in life.

If anything, had the current 6L50/6L80 been available back in my AT days, it would have made for an even stronger opinion for "no regrets", guaranteed. (But the answer to the topic question would have still been the same.)

Now if I'd actually expressed regrets about having owned any of those cars, with ATs clearly inferior to today's, you'd have a solid point. And I would have stuck to the implied sub-topic of how those two guys ended up with regrets and what they perhaps should have done to avoid them. Somebody might still benefit.

Nope. Paddle shifters are fun. Working a clutch is tiring.

My wife's car is a super-turbocharged 5-speed. It's fun to drive once in a while.

Got rid of my first Camaro which was an automatic. So boring to drive and fell asleep half the time in the car. Manual really is the only way to have a Muscle Car. Dont care what anyone else says its the truth, see GT500, SS 1LE.

Maybe you need to get more sleep at night if you're always falling asleep behind the wheel.

I ordered a M6 but had considered buying an automatic so my wife and daughter could drive the car. To me a sports car doesn't feel like a sports car with an automatic transmission. I am SO glad I ordered a stick.

One great thing....my wife nor my daughter CAN'T drive a stick which ended up being a great thing since I'm the only one that drives it.

My SS is not a daily driver and the last time I owned a stick was my pick up truck that was my daily driver. I would have had to think harder about it if I was driving the car every day. Sticks are a pain in the a$$ when in traffic.

I'm lazy.

Therefore, automatic.

Manuals are fun though, and I do enjoy driving them from time to time.

I have had 3 different camaro's in the Past year and a Half. I have had two with Manual's and now an Auto. At 65 the Knees say it's time to sit back and enjoy the ride traffic and Manual = too much Shifting for this Old man.
