I went to a car show at the Quaker Steak and Lube in Columbus, OH on Saturday. It was organized to Parkinson awareness (donations). Just went to look at the other cars and, of course, to add my donation. Saw a red 1SS and a black 2SS. Both guys were great and we were all happy to see other 5th gens in the area.

I've gotten thumbs up from Mustangs and a Challenger (cool plate WKD FAST).

I gave a guy a thumbs up in a yellow 1lt and got nothing in return just turned the other way. Even after that I let him merge in front of me where he went on driving like an ahole.

That's awesome. I wondered if other Chevy owners in general would share the same enthusiasm, not just the Camaro crew. Have a lot of Corvettes in our neighborhood so should be interesting to see how that turns out!

I always return waves if I see them but I'm sure I don't notice every wave since I'm looking down the road and not inside cars to see people wayving... I did for about 2 weeks but now I'm driving more and looking less. I did see my first fellow 2010 owner today and we both waved. He had his window open and put out his arm as we passed going different directions... I just waved inside my window. I know it was VR with cyber grey stripes and an open sunroof.... not sure if it was v6 or v8.

funny thing happend to me last night too. I was sitting in a parking lot waiting for my sister-in-law to get something from a 7-11 type of store and out in the street a car stopped right in the road and was honking his horn and waving and carrying on at this point she came back and said wow what nuts and I said it take a smart person to love a very cool car like mine. He took off once someone was getting close to him.

you cant always take it for arrogance or ignorance...some people are just genuinely reserved and dont necessarily want/need the attn.Doesnt mean they shouldnt be driving a Camaro. And maybe someone you thought was being arrogant was just lost in his/her own CamaroWorld! I know I will be.

I've passed a couple 5th Gens. while driving my SS.

I'll give them a honk and thumbs up, and have gotten the same in return.

thanks for the info...we will go to OBI the next time it doesn't rain on a Sunday...
What colors were there and were any of the Camaros you saw from Cam5 forum members???...my husband took our Camaro to OBI the first weekend we had it and he was the only one at that time and was actually mobbed by everyone there trying to get a good look, and that included Lamborgini and Ferrari owners...everyone was sooooooo impressed with the car...I bet you got that kind of attention too...

Haven't run into another 5th Gen owner yet, but we parked next to a '90's-era 'Maro at the place we ate today. When we spotted it's owner looking it over, CF went out and talked to them and showed them the inside and let one lady sit in the seat, so I'm assuming we're not overly arrogant.

We also had a great conversation with a married couple on their extensively modified Harley Davidson who wanted a look at the car. They took cell cam pictures and also showed us what they'd done to their (rather impressive) bike.

The night of the Papa John's Camaro pizza giveaway, I went up there in my 3rd gen instead of my 2010. There was a 2010 SS and I greeted him as he was leaving and complimented his car, and he acted like he was above me. It made me a little sad to think that people can be that way, and my wife actually got angry about it. But as was stated early in this thread, these people would be dicks with or without the Camaro.

MOST of the other 2010 owners I've seen/met have been really cool and excited to meet another Camaro owner.
