Definitely two of the worst features. skip shift and hill assist.

When your own a hill the "hill assist" message will appear on your console display. When you let off the clutch to proceed forward the brake is engaged for about a second - so there is a delay before you can go. In all honesty its a real pain in the A$$

The 1st time it happened to me, I wasn't thinking about that at all and was not looking at the display so when the car in front moved, I slowly pop the clutch and gave a little gas, nothing happened except the engine almost died, still not thinking hill ass...., I pumped the gas a bit, and I found myself almost in the rear end of the car in front. so bang on the brakes and the same thing started again but then I saw the message. What a pain.

count me in as a person who hates this feature. I thought you guys were just making a big deal out of nothing. I've just started driving my 2013 SS manual and the first time it stalled me... the 2nd time today I was basically burning up clutch waiting for the car to release. My car was lunging up and down as I looked like an idiot. Been driving manuals for 20+ years... I know how to drive.

my '97 740iL with auto has this feature and it's seemless... you don't even feel it. the Camaro is obviously not calibrated for shit. maybe some cars work great, mine does not.

I think everybody should file complaints at NHTSA on this feature... then maybe GM will reprogram or add ability to turn off. I shouldn't have to buy a new module to fix this horrible problem. there are complaints everywhere.... even on Silverados with autos.

here's NHTSA site where you can file a complaint:

Thank you so much!! I know how to drive a stick and am constantly in fear of stalling on hills because the brake is on and I miss the DIC message.. This is a great and simple fix!
