Having the same problem with my HUD.
1. In February I was having problems with it and the radio. (The service center blamed the radio and replaced it. 2. June it started again. Service center couldn't identify any problems or codes and sent me on my way. Within an hour my HUD did not work at all. I took it back and it took them a week to replace the HUD. 3. July, I'm out of town driving down the highway when the fading in and out started. Turning the radio on and off effects it but did not correct it. 4. Not only does the HUD act up but the radio as well and to add salt to the wound I decided to re-activate my XM account and was told I couldn't because the radio ID is registered to another account. (it's the radio they replaced in February) Since I'm still out of town I'm going to call the service center back home and see what they advise. |

My HUD is working fine but since bought new my "My-Link" Navigation has been down. It appears the Chevy dealer didn't up-load the newest sofrware to get it going. Personally I think Chevy needs to do a recall to get all these My-Link issues solved. ![]() Mail Clerk |

Sorry to hear about the HUD issues, and I definitely understand your frustration with having to make multiple visits to the dealership. If you'd like us to assist, feel free to send a PM and reference your concerns. We're more than happy to see what we can do for you. Kindly, William R. Chevrolet Customer Care

I don't know if this will help any of you out but I had the same problem. How many of you that are having this problem have the Mild to Wild switch in the car? When I tried to wire the mild to wild switch the zero battery drain way I was having the same problem as you guys are describing. the HUD would come on when the car started and then would fade away. When the radio would change stations or songs it would come back and fade away again. The turn signal had the same out come. The way I fixed the problem was I wired the switch the normal way and all of the HUD issues were solved. Hope this helps someone fix the problem.

I have an appointment with the dealer on Thursday but I don't know what to do. It sounds like there is no fix and nobody knows what the problem is. I certainly don't want them to tear my car apart if they aren't going to fix the problem. ????? Is Chevrolet looking into a solution my 2011 never had an issue. What did they change? It looks like the same HUD to me.

I know the frustration your going through buddy The best you can maybe do is PM the Chevy customer service department and ask them to talk to a Chevy dealership on you behalf so all you do is drop it off and wait. Perhaps they'll give you a loaner car in the mean time.In tow weeks more I take my Camaro in to have then tackle the Nav system again cuz bought new I drove away from the lot not knowing that they (dealership) didn't prep my car to go correctly. Currenlly I'm missing some important software. Good luck, Mail Clerk |

Thanks mail clerk . I'll let you know how I make out. I actually called the service manager today and told him I was not the only 1LE owner with HUD issues and he sounded surprised. My goal is to get GM to realize there is a problem and come up with a fix. It has to be a software issue because the 2011's and 2012's don't have issues.

I took my car to a different dealer and after talking with Chevrolet they were told that it was a software issue and had them install an update. That was on Wednesday and I haven't had any issues since. I hope that it's really fixed. Time will tell. Wish me luck!

What issues were corrected? Was it just the HUD cutting out?
