Definitely NOT K&N.
If you guys will look at the OP's photos and christianchevell's photos, you will see that it is the exact same intake tube. It's a CAI intake. it's just missing it's enclosure. But it's neither here nor there now, he's already bought a intake. He says he bought a R2C intake, but I'm not sure what that is. It's a shame he couldn't just get the enclosure. That CAI intake is one of the top 2 or 3 on the market.

I really do not think my intake was a CAI. Why would it be that without the fishtank around it? CAI doesn't sell them that way. Here is what I think it is: a cheap $149 tube with a shitty filter on it. Like this: http://www.pfyc.com/pc/CA3099/CAINTA...Camaro+SS.html
R2C makes filters for Sprint cars and other racing cars. So the filters work. Very well. It's not flashy, no one at a car show is going to notice it. But it works very well. This thing flows air like a beast. My mid range is awesome, and the howl it makes is guttural. I am going to write a post on it, but suffice to say it is Way better than a chrome played tube I had. Ive not driven a stock airbox SS, but I think that the old setup I had robbed power. Here is a link to R2C. Oh, and it's almost half the price of the popular ones if you order from their website.
