I too am waiting on this test for my purchase. I like the look and idea of New Era, Vararam is similar concept but plastic (it seems). I question the ones that pull the air from the stock location with the shroud. ADM race option looks like it could work well as it's fully enclosed but I dont want to loose my washers (not that I use them)

Time will tell.

Get it on boys

I got money to spend.

We really need to do this. I am interest in getting an intake but dont know what to get. Someone get this test going. Companies should put there money where their mouth is and test them all in same conditions.

I would send ours anywhere

I would love to send ours anywhere....

I just sent one to LINGENFELTER to use and Tillman speed had good results with our Original Prototype!

No problems here..I like friendly competition.

BTW-I datalog every car prior to install and after Install just to make sure the conditions are equal.

BTW-You must keep the hood closed when you test ours..as well as the others. ONLY FAIR!

ADM really does make a great product! We're excited to use their RACE version on our Stage 4 System!!!

ADM and Roto-Fab are the two brands we carry here in-house and both are top quality!

I like the similarities and differences in their kits. We're always a huge fan of large-diameter plastic intake tubing. We feel this leads for the most ideal intake air temperatures and in the short run affects timing numbers and power! I like the fact that the ADM has a concealed box for the filter. And places the MAF inside for heat reasons. I also like the fact that ADM has an insanely well constructed intake shield as well, and both utilize the factory mounting point.

You do have to realize at some point that almost all of the intakes make around the same power, and no test will ever be ideal conditions, unbiased, etc. *insert foot in mouth on our last post in this thread*

This happened with the S197 Mustang Platform a few years back and all of the tests were bogus. It was actually a list (in order of who spends the most advertising money with the magazine).... for the most part.

With all that being said, ADM and Roto-Fab, ftw! I have no reason to look elsewhere for intake systems. Now.... someone make me a 110mm diamer intake system good for 800+ to the tire, and I'll use it on my Stage 5 Camaro build plans!

We are definitely willing to test the Roto-fab intake against any and all intakes out there. We've incorporated many features in our design to maximize performance. I too have concerns about the testing being biased-especially with the GM MAF sensor equipped vehicles as they are so sensitive to intake temps.
That being said, we did enter a similar test with the HEMI vehicles last year. Initially, we were reluctant to send our intake system to a group in California we had never heard of to do a test such as this. In the end, we performed well and we were voted "crowd favorite" among those on hand during the actual test session. Overall, the test boosted sales and interest in our products.
The testing facility also evaluated packaging of the product upon arrival, installation instructions, as well as overall fit and appearance-all of which are important to the end user. We scored very well in all of categories these categories as well. Performance is the primary purpose of our intake; however, we do our best to make sure your overall performance is a good one

That would be awesome! Imagine just the sensor range in a 110mm housing!

I just noticed I asked for a 110mm "diamer" intake, above. on my spelling.

Well, a piece of this has been done, let's open it up to the whole field!

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/texas-...-new-shop.html

Make sure it includes:
1. gains on the stock tune
1.5 NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS on stock tune
2. stock car (M6 or A6, just keep it the same car)
3. gains with dyno tune
4. hood open AND hood closed

I'm really hope this happens, but why test cars with the hoods up for this comparison? I would think the best test conditions would simulate driving...hood closed maybe with hi output fans.
As for the tuned numbers, it would have to be the same tune to be fair and I can see there could be some disagreement on that issue.
Again ,I hope all can agree on the test and make it happen!
