I think all three are dead sexy.
I prefer the Camaro (of course) but I like and respect all three. I don't understand all the mudslinging between the three, particularly between the Mustang and Camaro camps.

I agree, Ive owned both the Mustang 5.0's and my current SS and I posted earlier, one is as good as the other so just pick your poison but the Chevy/Ford battle will always continue...

No he didn't get it.
The salesman offered to sell him a 392 for less. He's thinking about it.

Gotta Disagree with you on this. You must have not spent much "seat time" in a Turbo Buick because my "T" was nothing like you describe. The 86-87 Turbo Buicks are legendary. I bought a Turbo Buick new in Jan. of '87. These cars were the quickest American production cars built at the time after a 10 year nightmare of Nothing performance wise. I took my Stock Turbo-T to the street fights in Bristol and cleaned house with Vettes, Camaros and Mustangs. Also smoked a "number" of "muscle cars".
The Turbo cars handled excellent with the Factory stiffer suspension, larger sway bars, poly bushings, gas shocks and quick ratio steering. A '81 Z28 tried to lose me in the mountains of East TN. Didn't happen, was exactly the opposite.
I sold it last year after owning it 25 years.
Couple pics of the ole girl....

Hell, I could lose a '81 Z28 in the mountains on a skateboard, lmao

I never said the Turbo Buicks were not fast, I know plenty of people that own them, they are great cars, I just don't really like that particular platform. They didn't handle all that well even with the upgrades over the base regal. If I recall the GNs were running around 14sec ETs in stock form. The great thing about these cars were they reacted to small modifications very well.

I owned a '89 GTA 5.7 TPI and I don't know if it was as fast in the 1/4, but it would for sure turn better than my buddy's GN, and that was just due to the design of the platform. Now when the little Turbo V6 really shined was in the '89 Turbo T/A, you got the best of both worlds with that one....Fastest American Production car in '89, too bad they didn't make very many of them...

Very nice looking Buick you got there, even though not my Favorite car ever, I would still like to own one

coming from a mustang owner... I have a decently modded 2007 mustang... I have kept the paint in great shape so it still looks brand new and the paint still looks wet when clean. I get about 2-3 compliments on my car a month, most of them are about the color... and I catch people taking pictures of it about once or twice every two months, although that might be for my custom license plate.

The '81 Z28 was just ONE example.

There is a HUGE difference in handling between a base Regal and a Turbo Regal.
To say "they didn't handle all that well....over a base Regal" is ludicrous. There is No Comparison. Only someone not familiar with one of these cars would state that. I've already given many of the reasons they handled so well.

Several '89 GTA 5.7's at the Bristol street fights turned high 14's.

The '89 Turbo T/A was built in a limited number, around 2,000 if i remember.
There was a difference in the heads/exhaust to fit in the engine bay of the '89 Turbo T/A. This car ran low 14's Stock, same as a TR.

Thanks for the compliments. I do miss it sometimes.

If you ever get the chance, take a Turbo Buick out for a spin. You won't forget it. I ran a 14.20 @98 stock with my Turbo-T.
Even with just gutting the converter, 160 stat and a chip these cars were Easy mid 13 second cars. Very Fast then considering everything else was running 15's and 16's.

The Monte Carlo SS was a mid 15 second car.ugh.

The Challengers almost always get my attention, especially the SRT8's. I can't say the same thing about Mustangs though. Yes, GT500's catch my eye but I easily overlook the V6 cars and some GT's.
I notice most Camaros but that's probably because I own one.....

I wonder if the owners of the new Mustang or Challenger's get the kind of attention that the Camaro's get? I really like the Challenger and would like to own one, not so much the Mustang.

Depends on color and what you do to it. I get no "Camaro" comments, but every day I get a "hey, Bumble Bee" comments. Same when I had my Mustang. Nothing with a GT ragtop, but when I put flames on it and a light bar, compliments all the time. Camaros are a dime a dozen. Gotta do something to make it different.

After reading a few posts on this thread about V6s and muscle cars, I have to say that anyone who thinks the V6 in these Camaro's and Mustangs arn't up to being called muscle cars should research 20 years ago. 300hp out of a factory V6 today is damn good after all there are some V8s out there with only 300hp. So I have to say that even with a V6, these cars are still muscle cars.

I disagree. Nothing wrong with V6. V8 and V6 have always gone hand in hand with these muscle cars. It's a matter of preference. What matters is they are all Camaros.
