So tap into the red one? I am also hooking up footwells at the same time, so I would have three additional wires tapping this red one? (two footwells, and then the shift boot?)

I would see when you get power to your cigarette lighter. Do you get power all the time. Or do you get Power when the key is turned on. If you get power when the key is turned on tapping into the Redwire then whenever your key is turned you will have footwells and lighting on anywhere else.

Yeah, just when the car is turned on - so if I am hooking up footwells at the same time. Is there a different procedure I should be using because my center console is completely removed from harness. What do I do when I need to take this off again if I tap into the cig lighter, it won't be the single clip like it is now as I would have t-taps connected in to the red wire...

Man. I know this should be so simple. Do you even need the ground wire, or just the positive to the red on the cigarette lighter? I did this on my LS, but the set up was different under here - I didn't have the 4 aux guagues, and the wire was not this huge thick red one to the cigarette lighter. I don't think my 14-16 gauge t-taps can even tap this wire.
