Well based off of the suggestions of everyone here I decided to take the plunge. I've been on the fence for a while now, I like the idea of being able to customize the display of the HUD, but it's not cheap. Only down side is that I'll have to hardwire my Valentine V1 Radar detector, currently using the OBDII port for that..

I also picked one up and I've just begun to enjoy it but the only issue I have so far is that I have an apple computer and the download config. software is not compatible.

The rev match thing seems dumb to me. I believe it just uses current speed and then you push in the clutch to rev it up. It then calculates what gear that rpm is for that speed and tells you the gear. Then you would put it in that gear and let out the clutch. Completely useless on a track or twisty road. About the only thing it would be good for is roll racing. Even then it's not hard to remember the rpm limits of the first few gears.

I bought a netbook off Craigslist for $40. That's what I use for it and HP Tuners. Sucker is so old it has XP, lol.

Mine has been freezing and after start up the radio display disappears. Anyone else having those issues? I emailed Palmer but no answer yet. Mine doesn't have the Mylink nav option.

I do have the Nav and while driving down the road yesterday my radio went blank and reset. Not sure if it's DashLogic related though. I've been having weird issues with it since new. Sometimes when I'm using Pandora through my iPhone the little thumbs up and down icons aren't on the main screen. My Nav also locked up for a week and wouldn't work.

No issues with mine yet other than what I posted above. I do not have the nav option either.I hope they answer your email and when they do please let us know what they say so if I or anyone else ends up with this problem we will know what to expect.

I've had similar freeze issues after startup in my '13 ...but just with v1.17 ( I first got the product with v1.15 and had no problems). Apparently Palmer made a major change in v1.17 for the '14 Mylink and that affected how it works with '13 Mylink . Here's an excerpt I got from Palmer in a PM I sent them about the problem I started having when I upgraded from v1.15 to v1.17 "I think we are going to release 2 firmware versions for the Camaro one for '14s and one for '10-13s." The rest of their PM basically goes on to say how the '14 and '13 Mylink handle DIC and HUD text displays differently. I reinstalled v1.15 and the freeze problem went away.

If you want you can PM me and I'll send you the v1.15 firmware file

That all makes sense, hopefully they know some have the nav function and some don't.

Mine froze 2 separate times today. Same issues as you all.

'13 ZL1 with no nav


Tested rev match feature today - the setting in the software is "Current Gear (Calculated)"

I don't think it's a stupid feature, Jon. It is very useful for me to drop from 6 to 3 and make sure my engine RPM is at a reasonable position - but this is the first manual trans car I have ever owned. You are obviously more skilled since you have more miles under your belt with one.

Yes I do - I did a full software wipe and put back in my settings - ran a test run with it for about a 15 minute joyride and no issues. Maybe random or may have fixed something. It's worth a try.
