Is it true that you can't use the heated seats option on the Recaros unless you swap the internals from your old seats??

hmm I was told they don't come with power controls. I guess it must have either been bad information, or they upgraded to power sometime ?

SS and ZL1 Recaros are power operated. Z28 seats are manual, and I believe they are cheaper as well.

For the over 6 feet tall guys, do your shoulders completely cover the holes meant for the racing harness?

Just did a 500 mile cruise on my first weekend with the new ZL1 to break it in. I had the recardo option just because they look nice and was using the force since I had not sat in one before ordering. I did sit in a SS with those seats and they felt nice. The recardo felt a tad bit better when I got my car (Go figure LOL). What I did find was a little bit of disappointment after my first week with them.

Cons
1. back in the late 80's I have driven lots of cars that had tons of seat controls that were stock. Recardo has forward/back and tilt forward/back and are heated.
2. Ended up with with a lower lumbar soreness. (no lumbar adj that I could find)
3. In a few years the left leg support is going to show wear big time (Identical to high end racing seats of the 80's/90's)
4. (Time projecting here on this one) The cost of reupholster back to factory will surely cost you a second mortgage "Steering wheel and shifter knob anyone"

Pro's
1. They match the car perfectly for design and sexiness
2. They tilt all the way back for napping on road trips for those of us who hate getting out of our cars.
3. They do work well in holding your butt in the car when corning with out the use of racing belts
4. The custom design is of top notch quality in design looks (ZL1 and stitching)
5. Heated seats heat up FAST! Double bar will roast your butt in no time.

Over all if I had to put these in as aftermarket I wouldn't. But would in stead buy stickier tires and some engine up grades to make you buy later on even better tires (This is the only circle jerk in life I love) I would say get these as a factory install with your build unless you have Benjamin's that want to fly the coup. My 2 cents.
