And the day nears...only been waiting FOREVER!! Am getting a CGM 1SS...can't wait!
Also, am currently taking a 69 Camaro from heap to beauty with a buddy's help. I pick up the motor tomorrow. Should have the entire drive train, disk brakes, posi rear, undercarraige, trunk, and interior floor completed by 15 Oct and then off to the paint shop. You guessed it...CGM with the SS stripes...matching "old" and "new". I am one of the luckiest fellas I know!! TPW 14 Sep...yeah baby!!!!

When I talked to my dealer he said most cars been arriving about two - three weeks after u get your TPW, I just he's right

I learned today that mine was built yesterday at 6:30 am and is in the paintshop right now. She's alive...ALIVE!!!! Can't wait to see a VIN, that's like the hearing the heartbeat for the first time, pure confirmation of existence.

How did you find that out? I thought that TPW meant that they would start building it the week of 9-14 or does that mean that they would have it built by 9-14 with a vin? When you get a vin does that mean the car is already built or it is being built?

Is there anyway to know what day it actually rolls off the assembly line? Is that the day we get our VIN?

T's_1st_Camaro, I second the request to know how you figured out the actual build time of your car. I didn't think it was possible to find out anything besides the status code before a VIN is available. Did the dealer tell you this?

Cars are assigned a number for tracking while they move through the plant. This # isn't your VIN, your VIN is assigned later. With this # an insider can tell exactly where your car is during the build process. My insider checked on Wednesday and my car hadn't come to life in stamping yet...

It's too bad we don't have more insight - it would be VERY cool if GM setup tracking like Domino's has for our Pizza's!

I know I'll be on the receiving end of some pleasantries but after reading through some threads and some of your comments...3400 means the car is in the process of being built?!

I've been at 3400 since this Monday...hmmmm...is it worth bugging "THE" Viz?

I'd love to be the first, but would be just as happy if we all got ours around the same time. Speaking of location, I was at the Wendys today, which is on the route from the stripers to the plant and saw about 15 newly-striped camaros going back to the plant. WOW, what a site, was in complete awe.
