So, do you all just enjoy the excessive loud noise from the intake once you get into the throttle, or is it just me and these aren't typically THAT loud. I have listened to a couple of YouTube videos but it really isn't possible to get a true perspective in a video. Everything seemed to be properly connected, so I don't believe I did something wrong. Any opinions are welcome.
Nope it is that loud.....sorry your don't enjoy the grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I am sure someone will buy it from you. You don't have performance exhaust right?(4 pipes out the back)

Actually GM offers Performance Exhaust with 4 pipes which I have an it is an addition $900 add on. It is much much louder than regular dual exhaust. Assumed you had stock from GM, didn't realize you had upgraded your exhaust aftermarket.

I presume the question was directed toward me about the exhaust (of course anyone can answer

Anyhow, my answer is, I have the factory exhaust with 2 pipes out the back. Surprisingly, it is louder than I would expect a factory exhaust to be. In fact, I drove a 6 cyl mustang and it was camry quiet. While I know I said the CAI was too loud, I like the sound of my exhaust. I find it interesting however that GM installs the fuse and the relay into the fuse box in the trunk that controls the Dual Mode Active exhaust option. I would think they would not include these to save money.

Anyhow, I am disappointed I won't be using the CAI, as I like the extra power. I wish it was just a bit quieter. I think most of the noise that bothers me is the resonance that is there. With the factory intake, besides overall noise being baffled, the intake tube is fitted with the equivalent of J pipes to reduce the drone/resonance. Maybe I can blend the factory and CAI to Frankenstein an intake LOL
