Here are my wheels and camaro on jack stands and the wheels at the end are the ones I'm putting on.
Those are the best aftermarket wheels I've seen yet. Where did you find them?

Thx man.. it took 3 weeks for me to get them, they had to custom machine them from scratch so that way I wouldn't rub.. but you can get them from Paul at @Need4speed_motorsports

I have the NT-05 and really like the compound. Now, they are the thinnest thread width 305 I have had on the car. Both the Bridgestone and my Hankook RS-3 had a wider section width than the Nitto, all being a 305 on 11f and 11.5r OEM 19" Z/28 wheels.

Th sig pic has a 305/30 Bridgestone. , the pic below has the 305/35 NT-05

See I like those in this picture because they look beefy. Since I have a 10.5 in the front I was thinking of going 285's or 295's in the front instead of my 275's. But i dont want them Polk out more than the rear.. but now I have 315's in the rear so i have to sick with em..

How do you like Bridgestone?

Only had the Bridgestone's on for a few days so I didn't have time to form an opinion.

Sorry the pics are so big. Here is a 325/30/19 Goodyear F1 run flat on the back of the 11.5r wheel with a 305 hankook on the front on an 11. Car looked to matchbox car hotrod for me as the tires stuck out too much.

I have played with a couple different combos until I felt I got the correct look.

More pictures in my sig / build thread of the current Nitto set-up on the last page.

My Z/28 wheels are not the ideal offset so they hand outside the body and te wide tires made them look even wider. Not sure on cost, friend owes and exotic car dealer/repair facility and I get to play with the take off tires. They were free to me and $20 to install.

Here is another (crummy nighttime iPhone) pic to see how wide they are.

FYI, I said 315....it was a 325/30/19 above in the pictures, not 315

Very few vehicles run 20s with the exception of Range Rovers, and some X5M, but the tires are usually worn. New Porsche wear 325/20 in the rear....

Here are a couple notes to share regarding what I have vs. what you have to make a fair comparison of the pictures. I grabbed the offset of your rear wheel from the hand written mark on the inside of the wheel: 46

Your have a 12" wide, 46mm offset
Mine is a 11.5" wide, a 26mm offset
1LE/ZL1 is 11" wide, 43mm offset

Your wheel has 26mm less clearance on the inside of the wheel (towards the strut and extends 14mm less than mine on the outside (it is tucked 14mm more than mine)

Compared to a 1LE/ZL1 you have 14mm less clearance on the inside and extend 10mm more outward
  • The tread width listed for a 315/35/20 Toyo ST2 is 12.20"
  • The 315/35/20 Nitto NT-05 is listed a 12.40
  • My 305/35/19 Nitto NT-05 is listed at 12.32
  • Goodyear doesn't list width, but a 325/30/20 Dunlop measures in at 13.0"
With all of that being said, my 305 Nitto is wider than your 315 Toyo by .12", but it is on a wheel that is .5" slimmer making it look beefier.

To get the "same" look on a 12" wide wheel you will need a 325 rear tire.....or a 315 with a wider tread width.

Hope that makes sense and helps..

Matt

Wow great write up.. makes a ton of sense. I know based on my offset a 325 will probably not clear so im guessing the nt05 315 might be the best bet for the rear and maybe either 295 in the front or a 305 nt05. I wanna make sure they both give a little Polk but don't want the front to stick out more than the rear.
