It's supposed to make a big difference... I'm getting the winter tires on next week also. Hopefully, it doesn't snow in the next 8 days!

I can't comment on the Camaro but I know I used to have a Sunfire which was very light in the backend and it really did help. I used to buy a couple of the big bags of cat litter. That way if I ever happened to get stuck I could use them for traction or if I didn't I'd just use them in the cat's litter box in the spring.

how do you accelerate slowly from 0 without riding the clutch? Sorry, I'm quite new to a manual transmission rear wheel drive so I want to know whether I'd be burning the clutch if I was stuck in snow.

Driving the Camaro in the good weather is deadly enough in Ontario with all the tards that drive here, so no lol.

It's kind of difficult to explain but slow, even release of the clutch is the best way to go. Actually when I used to drive a standard I found getting out from being stuck in the snow almost easier then with an automatic.

drove my car with summer performance tires when it got lower than 0 degrees... the car came on and warned me that ice might be on the road to be careful... and in some cases the handling made it kinda scary... these tires definitely cannot be played much with in these temperatures... even if the snow is not here yet

I got that warning too, I think it was because I had driven it in the early morning and the tires & ground were both cold (the sensors obviously have a certain degree mark).

lol playing with the pirellis in -5 is alot of fun. I get more grip when its raining outside those pirellis really dont like the cold, but neither do i so we make a good match. My car will definitly not be outside for winter.
No matter how much you prep your car, it takes one idiot to write off your car. I know it can happen in the summer, but the chances of it happening in the winter is like 100x more. Im sure the camaro will do well with good snow tires ie Blizzaks or scorpions, just be carefull guys, theres some real bad drivers out there, especially in Brampton

My Silverado warns me of ice as soon as it hits 37 degree Fahrenheit too. I think that's pretty standard across all new GM cars and trucks.
